I was very excited to be able to try these products.
The chocolate icing was very easy to use, and tasted ok. I liked how you could reseal the tube if you didn't use it all at once. I didn't like Surprise Inside Cupcake Centres Rich Chocolate, it was easy to use and worked well putting it in warm cupcakes but I didn't like the flavour. The Edible Mini Wafer Flowers very sturdier than I was expecting which is great if you have a little person helping you decorate. They added a simple but nice decoration to our cupcakes. The Chocolate Silver Pearls were a little larger than what I would usually use for decorating but I really liked how they were filled with chocolate and not as hard as the usual silver pearls you get from the supermarket. The Ready to Roll Icing Green was easy to use. The Mug Cake Rich Chocolate wasn't bad. I liked how quick and easy it was and it didn't overflow from the mug when cooking. The flavour was nice, it is the kind of thing you can keep in the cupboard as a 'back up' for when you need a sweet fix quickly. I have seen this range in the supermarket since trying these products and would consider buying for the convenience.

Sorry for the late review and lack of photos. Unfortunately i dropped and smashed my phone the night before my sons party!
So the first thing i tried was the mug cake! I love my mug cakes so i was extremely eager to rip into this. It was extremely easy to make, not quite as rich as the other one i use but it matched well with a scoop of icecream (shhh.. thats our secret, ok?) I love that it didnt overflow in the microwave and the texture was great.
Next i baked 2 cakes. 1 for my sons party and the other so i could play around with the decorations and see what worked and what didnt before i started on the main one.
As i said previously, i have used the wafer flowers before and they are so easy to use and look great.
I loved the designer icing chocolate, especially because it came with the tips. It was extremely easy to use, even when nearing the end. The kids managed to use this with ease.
Ive always loved the chocolate pearls so this was no exception. Such an easy way to decorate a cake and still make it look 'classy'
The ready to roll icing was great but i did need to add some icing sugar to be able to work with it as it was a little too sticky. I didnt have it in the fridge though so i I imagine if i did that it would have been a little easier to work with. Once i added in icing sugar it was easy as and looked brilliant. The kids however, found it abit fiddly and said they will stick with spreadable icing.
Have yet to try the cupcake centre's. Im currently on a diet now i have my operation date so wont be able to give them a go for a couple of weeks.
Ive never given anything i review such a high rating but im loving this stuff. What i thought was really awesome was the tips you got with the icing and the little recipe ideas card to help with the icing.
Thank you for giving me the opportunity to have a play with these. We really enjoyed it!

So excited to be picked for this trial, the chocolate centres were so easy to use, my 5 year old did it. The nozzle was the perfect depth for our cupcakes and it tasted so yummy, just like McDonald's chocolate sundae sauce, also freeze and thaws really well. The silver balls were a lovely surprise being chocolate on the inside the were easy to eat and didn't break your teeth also looked really good, only downfall was when you drop them the silver coating cracks but we just put the crack on the bottom where you couldn't see it or ate them lol. The wafer flowers were beautiful, loved the colours and how unbrwakable they were expected them to be quite fragile but was suprised when I opened the box to find none broken even held well in the lunchbox to school. The icing in bag was the perfect consistency loved that it came with 4 different nozzles that screwed onto bag making it really easy and saved finding the piping bags and nozzles not to mention the clean up. Would have like more in the bag though as I only managed to squeeze enough out for 7/12 cupcakes and a couple of biscuits. Cake in a mug was very quick and easy to use, love that it only needed milk added to it and into the microwave so a nice quick and easy dessert. The ready to roll icing was a great colour love how bright it was, but found it harder to work with than other brands I've bought. It was quite sticky and hard to cut but surprisingly easy to mould into shapes. I really liked how everything had instructions or handy hints on how to use each item. was a pleasure to bake with these items, my daughter and I had loads of fun.

These products are awesome, delicious and super easy to use. The final decorated product looked amazing - just as fancy as what you would buy in a cake shop. Decorating the cupcakes and squirting in the yummy cupcake centres was super fun. The range has a great variety also so you can make various different styles .

Also loved the mugcake- such a quick easy and delicious dessert.

We had just one further Dr. Oetker baking product left to trial since our last review; the Chocolate Mug cake. We'd been at the beach one evening but needed a sweet treat when we arrived home, and we needed it fast. Here in lies the beauty of the microwave-friendly mug cake. Within a minute, you have a warm, moist and rich chocolate cake which my kids wolfed down. I'd definitely recommend having a couple of packets in the pantry for when you need a quick-fix child-friendly dessert. Yum.

We have really enjoyed baking with the Dr O range. Both my children got involved - one made cupcakes and the other made biscuits and they had a blast decorating them. It was great to see them having fun making their creations and they were so proud of the finished product! They both really enjoyed the cupcake centre filling and all products in the range were good quality and tasted wonderful! We'll definitely buy more of this range and keep experimenting - the kids now think they're on their way to being chefs :)

Love, love love the Dr Oetker products we were lucky enough to be chosen to try. My daughter loved making cupcakes with the cupcake centres - what an awesome surprise and very easy to use. And the chocolate silver pearls were a hit - and fantastic they were not hard like the other pearls, so will definately buy these again.
The edible wafers were cute but a bit tastless.
The mug cake was also a big hit with the males in the house, quick and easy to make and tasty, especially with some of the cupcake centre squeezed into it...Yummy!!

My kids and I used this last week. They were super easy to use for everyone but my kids didn't like the flavour as they found it a bit to rich. They did like the flowers and the wee sliver balls

What awesome products - miss 3 (mad keen baker) loved the choc centre and the flowers for her cupcakes the squeezable icing was awesome especially with the nozzles although one ouch didn't cover a batch of cupcakes - my kids loved the silver choc balls we don't buy these anymore due to previous bad experiences Mr 9 even said to his siblings 'oh don't eat those they are rock hard' he couldn't believe it when he tasted them and they were yummy chocolate and not hard at all - miss 3 has a birthday next month and I will be buying lots of decorating things for her and her friends to use - thanks so much for choosing us we will definitely buy again

Used the Dr Oetker products last weekend and found they were super-easy and tasted great. I made some chocolate cupcakes and then filled the centre with the Cupcake Centres product. I was a little unsure how to pop it in at first, but once you've done a couple it was easy. The pouch was resealable so I could save some to use again. Then I iced the cupcakes with the Designer Icing. Once again so easy to use I got the kids to help out and they loved it. Then we popped some Silver Perls on top and voila - amazing looking cupcakes! The real test is in the eating though, but they tasted as good as they looked.

Wow, my girl has had so much fun learning in the kitchen with the Dr. O products! I made some plain cupcakes for her to decorate for a family barbecue and she was so proud of the final result.
The chocolate icing was great practise - after an initial big squeeze left a huge pile on one cupcake, she learnt how to squeeze gently and move the icing bag around at the same time. I helped her to make hearts, stars and flowers, which she loved.
The silver balls were awesome! I usually hate these as they're so hard and ruin cakes for me, but these chocolate ones were much easier to eat (I may have snuck a handful to eat on their own, much to my girl's dismay).
She thought the ready-to-roll icing was playdough until she tried it. Then we tried rolling it out with a rolling pin and cutting out little shapes, as well as rolling it into thin snakes to make shapes out of.
We almost forgot about the chocolate filling, but remembered for the second batch. Now that she had practise squeezing the icing gently, she was able to squeeze the filling in herself. She loved that it was a little surprise and was watching everyone eat their cupcakes very carefully to see who had the chocolate centres!
She's now super excited about baking and is always asking when we can do some more cooking for the family! I think I'll need to stock up on some more decorating ingredients as it really seemed to help her coordination (and concentration).
Dad eyed up the mug cake before it was even unpacked, and whipped it up one evening after dinner. It was perfect for him as he's got a huge sweet tooth but not much aptitude for cooking - or patience. I might have to hide a few of those away too.

My kids and I have finally had the chance to test out these products and our family was very impressed with what we trialled.
Those Soft Silver Pearls were just fantastic! Soft, easy to eat, very tasty and look great on baking! They will definitely be a baking essential i will purchase!

The Wafer Flowers hardly made it to our baking.. only a couple cupcakes.. then my miss 3 ran off with the packet and gobbled them all up. Fair to say they were a hit with her! :)

The kids baked cupcakes and we filled them with the rich cupcake centre fillers. These added a lovely surprise to our treats and meant we only ate one and not a lot! Bonus that the pouch was super easy for miss 3 and mr 7 to use.

The chocolate icing was easy to use and tasted alright (i'm used to the way i make it) the kids did think it was super delicious! The attachments that came with it were good too. The kids picked their favourite and decorated their goodies.

Decided to give the mug cake to the kids for a pudding. It was the easiest thing i have ever made haha. I cooked it in a mug, tipped it onto a plate added some hundreds and thousands, cut it in half and gave it to them both. It was very rich but not overly sweet.

Have not used the Ready to Roll Icing yet but if it is anything like the rest of the products i can say it would be easy to use and great for the tiny hands to help with.

All in all i would recommend and purchase these again. I can't wait for the next birthday party! :)

Our family loved having the products to try - the icing was very easy to use - as was the cupcake centres. The silver balls were a big hit and not as hard as others we've tried so a lot more edible but just as pretty! The mug cake was almost too easy and tasted ok too! Not so keen to see palm oil in some of the products but at least it's labelled.

Ok, we have finally trial the products. I'm a baking fan and tested different brand for cool baking. Dr. Oetker is great for kids to help in kitchen and make their own cookies. I used the mud cake sample made some mini cupcakes and my boys can't stop decorating them. I took mug cake for work. It's easy and fast , the flavor is also amazing, very rich but not that sweet. I will definitely shop again for this easy work-on products. LOVE IT

These baking items are incredible! I loved the Mug Cake as it was the perfect size to solve my chocolate craving in record time and my son and I have had so much fun using the other baking items too! The Suprise Inside Cupcake Centres were the favourite for him - tasted great and was a nice little treat for him. The Silver Pearls - I can eat these far too easily and always manage to make baking so pretty. Definitely prefer these ones as they aren't hard and I don't risk breaking a tooth! I haven't used all the icings yet but looking forward to when we do.

These are definitely products I will buy again, thanks team!

Thankful so muchco co opportunity to review the gorgeous Dr Oetker baking products, my daughter and I had so much fun creating son yummies!
I made some plain chocolate muffins and we were ready! I will review each product separately.
SURPRISE INSIDE CUPCAKE CENTRES: this is a product I have not seen before but we absolutely loved it! The flavour was great and the consistentsy just right. It was easier enough for my 4 year old daughter to use too. It added abit of extra to a plain CUPCAKE, this is a product I will be buy in again.
EDIBLE MINI WAFER FLOWERS: here were a huge hit for my daughter! Very pretty looking! Unfortunately to eat they had no flavour and taste wise abit disappointing for my daughter, obviously I expected that but I think my daughter would have loved if they were sweet tasting also. They made our cupcakes look very cute however.
CHOCOLATE SILVER PEARLS: one word...Yum!!!! I usually buy the little SILVER balls which are hard and the non chocolate kind so I was pleasantly surprised biting into chocolate!!! Love these and will now be buying this variety!
DESIGNER ICING: th I ICING was fairly good...I wasn't 100% sold on the flavour however. I would buy this ready made icing over other variety thoughbecause of the 4 tops you receive. I like that I can use them again and created some really neat looking icing.
READY TO ROLL ICING:IM not use to this kind of icing but found it easy to ROLL and manipulate. It was a little trickygetting it onto a cake by I think his was more by inexperience rather than the product. The colour was very vibrant and tasted fairly good too. IM not likely to buy his again, purely for the fact that I prefer runny ICING.
MUG CAKES: we made ours in a bowl and it turned out great! Easiest cake I've ever made! Beautiful taste and a super quick dessert! I will be buying th I product again as a treat for my daughter!

I spotted some Dr Oetker products in the supermarket and was impressed by the range, there are some getS decorations. The price of the product is in keeping with other baking products, I actually thought Dr Oetker would be more expensive.
A great product which I will buy again, it is also a brand I soul definitely reccoment to my friends and family. Thankyou again. Please see my photos

I haven't yet had the chance to play with ALL of the products but I have had a bit of a play (plus I had already bought some of the products)
Mug Cake Rich Chocolate - Haven't used yet (roll on the weekend)

Ready to Roll Icing - Love love love this. It makes life so much easier to be creative with your baking. I love experimenting with my baking but now with this icing, I can experiment on the outside as well. It softens easy enough to be able to roll out meaning little hands also have no problem. The kids had an absolute blast cutting out hearts, stars etc to decorate the cupcakes. The one thing I would say is that don't go thinking this is moldable fondant because it's not. I tried to have a bit of a play but found it became a bit crumbly. But, it is an icing so I guess that's the difference. It also tasted great.

Surprise Inside Cupcake Centres Rich Chocolate - Super easy to use, and super yummy to eat. Only problem was that you really wanted more and more and more in the cupcakes hahahaha. Loved the nozzle and just how simple it was.

Edible Mini Wafer Flowers - loved that these weren't as difficult to use as some of the decorations you can buy. The kids were able to apply them easily and I think they found eating them even easier... They also weren't overly sweet which sometimes when you have a cupcake/frosting or icing/ decorations, it really can become a bit much. But these gave a lovely finish to our cupcakes

Chocolate Silver Pearls - Haven't used these as yet but doing more baking this weekend so stay tuned

Designer Icing Chocolate - Havent used this as yet as we played with the ready to roll icing on our cupcakes, but once again will try this weekend.

All in all, with the products we've used so far, we have been totally impressed so I'm looking forward to having a go at using the rest and will do another post after that.

My son was so excited and proud of the baking and decorating of our cupcakes with these awesome Dr. Oetker products that he wanted to take one of the cupakes to school for his teacher yesterday :) When I picked him up from school yesterday he proudly told me that his teacher said the cupcake was the best morning tea she's ever had and she loved how he decorated it. You should of seen the proud smile on my son's face.

Wow we so enjoyed reviewing these amazing Dr. Oetker baking products!!
My kids and I had so much fun last Saturday on a rainy afternoon getting stuck in baking a whole load of delicious cupcakes to share with family and friends!
We found them really child friendly and so easy to use with the nozzles that come with them! My kids were able to create amazing iced cupcakes with minimal mess and effort which was great! They especially enjoyed decorating with the green fondant and silver balls, the wafer flowers were beautiful and we used maybe too many on each cupcake but wow the end result was delicious! ;) :) With the variety I've already seen in the baking isle at Countdown, these Dr Oetker baking products will definately be my first choice with my son's birthday party coming up in April!! Lots of choice, range of colours, and variety in their products! Very tasty and delicious, a hit in this house for sure! Thank you Kidspot & Dr Oetker! :)

Our family was lucky enough to be picked to trial the Dr Oetker products.
my daughter was sooo happy when the box arrived, cause she knew looking at the items she would be able to bake and have heaps of fun!
We made chocolate cupcakes, and used most of the products on that, we got the chocolate cupcake center filler, that was very easy for my daughter and my self to use, and oh lord did it taste good!
we also got the chocolate designer icing with the handy nozzle attachments, following the instruction on the back, says to warm up with your hands till soft, but i didn't find it actually worked, and after putting the packet in warm water for a while it became a little easier to use, but not with the nozzle on, we squeezed it with out one and had to use a knife to spread it around, but even tho that was a pain, it was worth it as it tasted so good!
My daughter decorated the cupcakes with the wafer flowers and silver balls, along with a few other things we had in the cupboard. the wafers went a little stale after awhile (a day) but where still edible.
we used the ready to roll icing on a cake we made a few days later, it was very easy to use.
I had the mug cake one night after the kids had gone to bed, it was pretty good, but was more like a self saucing pudding than a cake, not that im complaining, it tasted awesome.
We had so much fun making and eating everything we got, and have already gone out and brought more products. thanks so much for the chance to try them out

We were absolutely thrilled to receive our box of goodies from Dr Oetker! I am a definite convert - they are so easy to use, tasty and the end result is great.

We made chocolate cupcakes and filled them with the Surprise Inside Cupcake Centres. This was so easy - just take the cap off, plunge the tube into the middle of the cupcake and squeeze. This gave the cupcakes an amazing, rich, gooey, chocolate flavour in the middle which was superb. I will definitely be filling all my cupcakes from now on.

We also used the Designer Icing to ice the cupcakes. I am basically useless at icing but this made it so simple. It came with 4 icing nozzles and the star/flower one was my favourite. It made it easy to create something that looked nicely decorated instead of just slapped together! The kids found this easy to use too. I love that the tube was strong enough to withstand a really good squeeze. It was such a warm day that I didn't need to warm the icing pack before using it. Unlike other writing icing, I love that it actually sets when you put it the decorated cupcakes in the fridge.

We topped off the cupcakes with Edible Mini Wafer Flowers (easy decorations that aren't fiddly to use and they just melt in your mouth) and Chocolate Silver Pearls - I'm never buying the old silver cachous ever again! These were actual chocolate inside and were soft so no trying to break your teeth like with the cachous! My youngest hates the cachous but loved the Dr Oetker silver pearls.

What a box of fun we had.
Delicious, good quality products that makes plain baking look really fancy.
My 6 year old son and I made the Chocolate flowerpot Cupcakes which was listed in their booklet, and he took part in every step as well as having a ball cutting out the Ready to Roll Icing (and sneaking a bite) into leaves.
Chocolate Silver Pearls where a bit hit too. Did not get to try Mug Cake yet as Microwave on the blink.
Put a few products together and this would be an awsome gift for a littlie baker.
Highly Recommend Dr.Oetker baking products.

Thank you so much for selecting us to review this great products. We have been baking the last couple of weekends, enjoying reviewing these products. All my girls loved using these products and found them easy to use.
We trialed the "ready to use" icing and "silver pearls" and make lovely flowers for our home make cookies. My girls found the icing easy to roll out to make the flowers (6 years and 8 years). The silver balls are very nice to eat, as they contain chocolate! Nice and soft, unlike the traditional silver balls which can be very hard!
This last weekend, we made chocolate cupcakes and trialed the "chocolate icing" and "chocolate cupcake centers". We decorated them with the left over silver balls and edible flowers. Again, all products were so easy to use and tasted really good! The chocolate centers for the cupcakes were a nice touch, and very easy to insert into the cupcake. The cupcake didn't break, even though it was still warm when we filled them. The ready made chocolate icing, comes with nozzle attachments, is such a great idea! Perfect when you want you make lovely cupcakes, without the mess of dealing with icing bag, and having to make up the icing. The icing tastes good and easy to use. One packet easily ices x12 cupcakes.
We are still to trial the "mug cake" ... so will post reviews on this when we do.
Overall, we have been very pleased with these products. And I will definitely we buying them again :-)

Thanks for picking my family to review these products! We did some baking and the girls just loved using the Dr. Oetker range. How super easy are they! I don't think I will every make icing again, and the cupcake fillers, well that was so simple and easy to use.

Not only easy to use but these products taste good too!

This made baking easy and super fun for us, and not stress about getting all the ingredients together and making it all, they are all available ready made, making life super easy for working mums with kids who love to bake!

I thought the nozzles for the icing was a great extra, not having to worry you can make the cupcakes look super good and not have to have all the equipment at home! The girls loved using the silver balls and flowers to decorate the cupcakes we made, and once again made it fun and stress free.

Looking at cake in the mug, I though nah how good can it taste, but it was so yummy and super easy! Definitely buying these again for the kids!

We are not big fans of ready to roll icing, but found this super easy to use, and I let the girls roll the icing and make cool shape for the cupcakes!

Thanks again for these great products, and now I know how easy baking can be with all these ready made products I will be heading to the shops to stock up the pantry for more rainy day baking help!

I've added a bunch of photos to show everyone the products, and what we did with them. My 8yr old son's fave Dr. Oetker Baking product was the Mug Cake. He loved that he got to make a cupcake in a mug, using the microwave. It was so quick and easy - perfect for kids to make. We timed it well, with him making the mug cake just before I dished up dinner, then the cupcake (& mug) cooled down while he ate dinner, then after dinner he decorated it and ate it for dessert. He loved it! We also loved the chocolate silver pearls - the chocolate inside made them so yummy!!

Thanks for the chance to try these products. My daughter loved using them.

She made some cup cakes and had lots of fun decorating them. The royal icing was rather soft in the warm weather but was beautifully glossy (especially the next day).

Loved the chocolate silver pearls - don't normally enjoy silver pearls due to just about cracking your teeth, but because these were chocolate filled, they gave the same visual effect but tasted great!

The chocolate filling was yummy and so easy to use. And the icing packet with nozzle attachment was such a novel idea.

Loved the flavour of the mug cake - wasn't expecting it to taste so home made - but it did!

Would highly recommend any of these products and would be happy to purchase again

First of all thank you for picking us to trial these amazing products from Dr.Oetker Baking. My daughters who are 5.5 years old and 22 months old, really enjoyed the whole process of making cupcakes and using all the products.

we choose to make mini chocolate cupcakes going with the chocolate designer icing and the chocolate cupcake filling, both so easy to use and the designer icing came with 4 different pipping nozzle designs, kids thought it was great. Was very easy to insert the cupcake filling and to use the star pipping nozzle was super easy. The kids then put on the eatable mini wafer flowers and the silver pearl balls, which are yum just on their own! Please see pictures of our final cupcakes!

We are yet to use the green ready to roll icing and the mug cake, but i am sure they will be just as yummy as the other products we have used so far. I just love that my kids could join in and make cupcakes too and they tasted really yummy, we gave them to family and friends and they all said they tasted really good.

I have looked at the products in the supermarket and with so many options we will be buying them next time we do baking, thank you.

We had fun trying out the Dr Oetker decorating products. We made a batch of banana muffins and used them to try out the decorating products. First we added cupcake centres. The product was really easy to use. Both the 4 year old and the 2 year old were able to add cupcake centres to their muffins. We decided that we should cover up the holes with some of the decorations. We each used a bit of the ready to roll icing to make some shapes. The instructions came with a few suggestions on things to make with the ready to roll icing so the 4 year old and I attempted to make turtles. The 4 year old decided that his turtle needed some extras (ie wafer flowers on the feet) and used a piping nozzle to make a flower stem for one of the wafer flowers. The 2 year old made β€˜leaves’ for the wafer flowers and later added silver balls in the centre of each (held in place with a little bit of designer icing). We all thought the ready to roll icing was very easy to use and mould into various shapes. We decided to decorate the muffins with the designer icing so that our ready to roll icing would have something to stick to. The children just used the one nozzle out and I had a go with the all of them. I’m not very good at piping with a traditional piping bag so I found the Dr Oetker product much easier to use and it worked really well. I also loved that if you didn’t use it all up you could just put the cap back on and use it again at a later stage.

The Dr. Oetker baking kit was amazing.
So simple to use, and super yummy. A big hit with master 9, and my husband and I too. First we tried the rich chocolate mud cake. We ate it straight from the mug. The top, and middle of the cake was nice and spongy, and we got a nice creamy chocolatey surprise once at the bottom. The next time we make it I'd probably turn it out of the cup and onto a plate, so all the gooey chocolate can run over the whole cake.

We made some vanilla cupcakes, and filled them with the rich chocolate cupcake centres, and my son happily decorated each cupcake with the icing and mini wafer flowers. It was great seeing him enthusiastic about baking, and he was so proud of his creations. We have yet to use the ready to roll icing, and chocolate silver pearls, but no doubt they will go down a treat! Thank you for the opportunity to try these fantastic products. They'll definitely be sought out at the supermarket by us :)

I'm a fan already!!
So.. I made some valentine's themed cupcakes to take to work..using a marble to make heart shaped. Thanks pinterest!
Next used the surprise centers..soo easy to use. Made it to 16 filled cupcakes! They were great! I felt my cupcakes were dry..so this saved them! Next came the icing... I used the icing pouch to cover.. then got creative with the tips..
Chocolate silver pearls!! Finally a product that doesn't break your teeth!! I had to tell my work mates they weren't the usual hard teeth breaking product!!
The little flowers are absolutely adorable!! Soo many in a packet!! I used on some cupcakes.. and some on a cake too!! What a cool idea!!
I had 3 cupcakes aside for my kids too.. they were eaten pretty quickly. Workmates also.. no complaints, everyone loved the chocolate pearls and the flowers..
The mug cake.. didnt really rise as much as I thought.. followed instructions to a T.
I topped with cream.. and was a quiet treat after a long day.. I can see it being an easy treat..
I will be using the fondant next for a turtle themed party!!
Overall a great range.. I saw a few of the products in Pak n save.. and bought some sprinkles..
I would love to find the chocolate stars and the larger flowers!!
Thank you for picking me. I will upload some photos to the Facebook page later..I can't work out how to upload to this page..

After the success with the mug cake (see previous review) I was really looking forward to using the rest of the Dr Oetker items. Generally my baking isn't too shabby- but my decoration skills usually leave the results looking like something from a Jackson Pollock painting. I was hoping that these Dr Oetker products would be easy to use, and when I opened the packet with them in I was even more hopeful still. So, I decided to make chocolate cupcakes to surprise the hubby for Valentines Day (who says romance is dead 'eh!). First off, having got my cupcakes out of the oven, my daughter and I used the cupcake centres packet. It was really simple to use- just prod in to the warm cake and squirter. I did slightly over-fill one, but it was still OK, and nothing the other products couldn't cover up! I also loved how this could go back and be stored in the fridge- I got centres for 9 cupcakes out of it and there is plenty more for later- great value!

Next I (daughter had wandered off by this point as I refused to let her squirt icing directly into her mouth) used the icing packet. I was slightly worried that the attached icing tunes would be hard to use, but they were super easy (apart from when you accidentally put your sleeve in one..... don'the do that....). I could pipe roses, or ice names using them. There were also a couple of other attachmentstuff, and I can see as my confidence grew that I would be able to come up with ever more intricate designs. But for now, the fact that I had a cupcake that didn't look like I'd sat on it (even the one which I put my sleeve in) was 10000% better than normal. In fact- my hubby thought I'did bought them from somewhere! I was also impressed that from one pack I iced 12 cakes- and I was pretty generous with it.

Then I started getting artistic- the little silver balls and wafers were super cute and so easy to use- just to add that final flourish. In particular the little silver balls would have so many uses, and would be very easy to transport as they stick well to the icing. The ready to roll icing was also so so simple. Just roll out and cut your shapes, then stick down. No fafling about mixing in dyes etc.

So, now, to the most important bit. My cakes looked great, but how did they taste? In a word- amazing. I had been bothered that they would be too sweet or sickly, but they were nice and dark, not too rich, and perfect for a chocolate cake. In particular my daughter loved the silver balls and the melting middles, and my hubby loved the icing. Even with the added decorations on top they were deliciously morish.

Overall these products have been fantastic. I have previously been very sceptical of bought icing products, but would not hesitate to buy these again as they were reliable, easy to use, looked great and gave me the results I wanted. There is also a great variety of things you can do with them- so mix and match for your situation. I'm so pleased to have been given the opportunity to review these Dr Oetker products as now my family no longer has to put up with boring looking baking!

So picture the scene. Woman in her late 20's, has been at work all day, four hours sleep overnight and toddler has just taken an hour to go to bed. Walk into the kitchen and there are only two things which will make the day better- chocolate or cake. Then I remember- I have been picked as a reviewer by Kidspot and I have a mug cake mix in the cupboard. Having been disappointed by mug cakes before (not tasty, explode all over the microwave causing an extra 30 minutes of cleaning up and even not rising...we'very had the lot!) I tentatively do as the instructions tell me... simply mix in milk in a mug until smooth and then microwave. Surely it can't be that simple..... but, one minute later, I was very surprised that we had a really well risen Mug cake, complete with a bit of chocolate sauce at the bottom. Going well so far. And looks really good. Then my husband comes in..... damn it, now I have to share. We both comment on how light and fluffy it is. Nice and chocolatey but not too rich. Not too sickly sweet either. In fact it's so good we could eat more!
Overall, very very impressed with the product- simple, quick and really hits the spot- just gutted my hubby got the other half of my cake πŸ˜‚.

My Daughter who is 11 yrs old made Chocolate Cupcakes with the yummy Cupcake Centre-Chocolate inside. She found it very easy to use the squeezable pouch and the flavour was delicious. The Chocolate Silver Balls were a yummy surprise and taste better than the old style hard silver balls that other companies make. The Green Ready to Roll Icing was easy to roll out and cut into lovely Koru patterns and she said it tastes nice. She had alot of fun using this easy icing and she also suggested that the icing could have different flavours for different colours to make it more delicious.

My daughter, 11 years old cooked Vanilla Cupcakes and decorated with the Beautiful Wafer Flowers. She thought the flowers were very delicate and said they tasted like ice cream cone. She thought it would be good to have the diff colours taste like different flavours and thought it would be fun to have leaves made from wafer also to match the flowers. Easy to use and wished there were more in the pack - 80 instead of 40.She used the Choc Silver Balls also in the middle of each flavour which made them sparkle. Thanks for letting us review these gorgeous products.

Thanks for picking me Kidspot to try these things!
Honestly they were awesome. Not too much sugar in the icing and soooo easy to apply. I adore the fact that the icing goes hard. Awesome for school lunches. The chocolate stuff you squirt inside the muffin mixture was delish (according to my son!) I would definitely buy this again. The only downside for me.was that the icing didnt cover 12 cupcakes. Only 10! Just need a slightly bigger pack would be perfect. My children love to help me decorate stuff. This was no exception!!!

We had such a fun weekend making and decorating cupcakes. We started with the designer icing was super easy to you even my Mr 2 had a turn. It looked awesome and tasted great too. Then we added the wafer flowers and chocolate silver pearls which made the perfect finishing touch Ms 14s cupcake looked very professional. I thought the chocolate silver pearls were the best I've tried and the best part was the little kids could eat them with out breaking their teeth like other brands. Our second batch of cupcakes we decided to try out the Surprise inside centers this was again super easy to use and tasted awesome. Grandma and Grandad thought this was a very lovely surprise indeed. The packaging for the designer Icing and Surprise inside centers was a very awesome idea and I just love that you can just store the leftovers by just placing the cap back on! So far I am so impressed with these products and would fully recommend people give the awesome range a try. Cant wait to give the last few products ago!

My kids loved these!! Miss 9 has been busy decorating and they look and taste great! Only issue I have, is I need more! The products are simple to use, and make her creations look rather professional. The fondant is easy to roll and cut out too, which is a nice change from other brands. The only change I would make is with the icing. Even after being warmed in warm water, it was hard to use. Miss 9 got a little frustrated with it.
We tried the mug cake first. Miss 9 made it herself, no help needed. Tastes great, and would probably be amazing with a scoop of Ice cream too. I may have to buy some more and hide them for when the kids aren't looking :P
These products are perfect if you are stretched for time, and want a great looking cupcake to take to a gathering, or for a birthday party. I will def be buying them again!.

I was so excited to get my hands on these fantastic Dr Oetker products! I have put a few to the test so far and I am seriously impressed!
I tried the Mug Cake first as a little after dinner treat for my toddler and I and we both found it very tasty and not too sweet. I found it much better than the alternative product I tried before, especially when it comes to how easily it comes out of the mug onto a plate. I seriously recommend it for a quick treat for all chocolate lovers out there!

Secondly, I made a 'spontaneous' Valentine's cake for the men in my life and used the silver sugar pearls and the chocolate icing for decoration. The sugar pearls looked and tested great. The icing was not just very versatile (especially with the addition of very handy nozzles: fantastic idea!) but also super yummy. There was also a lot of it so I have about half the sachet left after decorating the cake which is making it very economical too. The only downside I must mention is how 'sticky' the icing was... especially when using the writing nozzle I had to have a sharp knife handy so I could keep cutting the ends off where necessary.
I am yet to try the remaining products but so far I am very impressed with the Dr Oetker range and will certainly be repurchasing them in the future.

Such excitement receiving our Dr Oetker baking products! The kids have helped me make 'double chocolate surprise muffins' using the gooey chocolate centres- they went down a treat! The product was very easy and effective to use. It did 12 large muffins with a little to spare for little seagull mouths standing waiting for a taste :-) Today i made mini cupcakes and used the designer icing and edible flowers. The icing tastes lovely but I found the pouch hard to squeeze. On the plus side however it would be good for writing words on carefully, and the different nozzle options are great! Also we were able to make 24 mini cupcakes using this icing which is cost effective. The flowers are gorgeous and so easy to use! I felt like I was making something you could buy in a cake shop :-) I have frozen some without the flowers on to see if the icing freezes well for future baking too :-) next up I will be making little leaves and vines out of the roll out icing, and think hubby might get a treat of the mug cake! We are really enjoying this trial thanks Kidspot Mums Say and Dr Oetker!

Thanks for the trial products. My kids were super excited to see the box of goodies the other day.
Last night we made chocolate cupcakes with the chocolate centres. I found this really easy to do. It said to do while still warm and the chocolate centre filling came out really eaily. I used the chocolate icing for the top. I love how you get 4 nozzles with the icing, great idea. I found it hard to get the icing out when it was getting low in the packet. I did kneed mine before starting which made it easy at the start.
My girls loved the flower wafers and silver balls to decorate them. The wafers were used as a snack too while decorating, lol. My daughter is so excited to get a chocolate cupcake with a blue flower on it in her lunch box today.
Looking forward to trying the mug cake next πŸ˜€

Thanks Dr. Oekter for the trial products. My daughter and I had a blast decorating our cupcakes!

We waited for the cupcakes to cool down slightly before putting the filling in. The cakes must have been at just the right temperature because it was very easy to inject! I was surprised to not have it ruin the cupcakes, it left them in one piece!
The icing tasted yummy but was slightly difficult to get out. I think it must have been a bit cold because after running it under a warm tap for 5 seconds it was much better.

The chocolate silver balls were softer than I was expecting but this makes it very child friendly which is good for my kids! Miss 4 loved the wafer flowers.
My daughter particularly enjoyed rolling the icing and much to my surprise, even though I found it a bit sticky she was able to manage it well and cut out some cool shapes.

OMG that mug cake! I have already gone out to purchase more of these to stock up my cupboard! So so yum!

Highly recommend all of these products! Thanks again :)

Our Dr. Oekter products arrived a couple of days ago, we were so excited we couldn't wait to try them all out. First of all my daughter and I made a batch of cupcakes(we decided to go all out and have chocolate mud cupcakes with the chocolate cupcake centers. Even though I read the instructions(it said to leave them to cool but to inject the filling while still warm) I think I left them too long. As a result I had some difficulty injecting a generous amount of the cupcake filling into them. So I guess my first tip would be to make sure you use your cupcake filler while your cakes are still warm and soft. Also on my first cupcake I pushed the nossel in too deep and ended up squirting the filling out the bottom of the cupcake. But once I got the hang of it, we were on a roll. After we iced the Cupcakes (we used the designer chocolate icing, it was so easy and fun to use.) we decorated them with the silver chocolate pearls and some wafer flowers.
Once they were all ready they looked beautiful. We took them to a shared lunch at school and got so many awesome comments. The filling was delicious(although next time I use it I will be more generous), such an easy way to add a real wow factor to your baking. Everyone who tried the pearls loved them, they are soft and delicious. The wafer flowers are pretty and also taste great.
We also gave the mug cake a go, it was a huge hit with my daughter and it was quick and easy to make.
I'm sure I'll be talked into buying more in the future.
I haven't used the ready to roll icing yet but will update here when I do.
So all in all I've been impressed with the Dr. Oekter range and would recommend it to anyone. The products are smart and easy to use as well as tasty, I know I will be adding them to my favorite baking goods list and buying them in the future.
Thank you for giving us a chance to trial them, we had a ball!

First of all, thank you so much for the opportunity to try Dr Oekter products! My girl's eyes lit up when they saw all the goodies and we couldn't wait to get stuck in!

I made a batch of 12 cupcakes and used the cupcake filling which was so easy and simple to use, especially as they recommend you use it whilst the cupcakes are warm. I didn't want to overdo the filling and managed to use only half so saved the rest and used it a week later on another batch of 12. Although the cupcake filling recommends enough for 12 cupcakes, I would say it fills 24 easily. The filling really did turn a 'plain' cupcake into some more special and we loved biting into the cupcake to find the creamy chocolate.

I struggled with the icing at first and then read the instructions (doh!) which said to stand it in warm water for 1 minute. After doing that it was easy for my daughters to use and they got very creative! Again, the chocolate icing is recommended for 12 cupcakes but we managed to get 24 cupcakes decorated and I still have some in the fridge leftover.

The silver chocolate balls were a hit, especially once the girls realized they were chocolate! The flowers were being used as snacks before we could start decorating and my girls loved sticking them on the cupcakes with the silver balls in the middle.

The mug cake was extremely quick and easy to make and I cut it in half and added some ice cream as an after dinner treat for my 2 girls. It didn't last long and they both said it was 'yummy!'

For convenience and taste I would definitely give these products 10 out of 10! They were so easy and fun for my girls to use and best of all, there was no mess to clean up afterwards! I will definitely be buying these products again and highly recommend them to others!

My Dr Oekter products arrived today and my girls (9 yrs and 7 yrs) were straight into baking a batch of cupcakes to try them out!
I baked vanilla cupcakes as both the icing and the cupcake filling I received were chocolate. I found the cupcake filling extremely easy to use.
The icing I didn't find so easy, both my daughters wanted a go but found it difficult to squeeze the pouch (as did I) but the icing when we managed to squeeze some out was of a great consistency and tasted yum.
The girls are now decorating them with the ready roll icing, the wafer flowers and the silver balls - I will post pictures when complete. All 3 got the thumbs up from my girls in regard to taste. Loved the look of the wafer flowers - so delicate and pretty looking and the silver balls weren't rock hard like some of the others I have bought in the past. The icing was easy to mould in your hands and had a really vibrant colour.
The mug cake will be my treat when everyone is at school / work so watch this space!
Awesome products and I will definitely use them again!

I'm very, very impressed with the Dr Oekter products. I enjoy baking as a mum, but my kids also love baking too - what a pleasure to have such fun and easy products for them to use and achieve great results. Packaging was clear and easy to read, easy to open and fittings etc easy to use. These would be perfect to have for a birthday party activity. The taste result was fantastic too! The Mug cake was really good, tasted like good home baking with real chocolate - very impressed! My daughter (12) made it completely unsupervised and then presented me with the cooked cake. The 'Cupcake Centers' filling is like a rich chocolatey fudge ...I might have sampled it on its own and it was hard to put down and use it INSIDE the cupcake as directed ;) The chocolate icing is also very good, tastes just like I'd make using real chocolate, but much easier and less mess. We all loved the chocolate silver balls, a bit of surprise they had a soft melt in your mouth center instead of a hard tooth breaking crunch like the other type - great for little teeth - they worked well with the wafer flowers with a dab of icing in the center to give them a bit more taste. The ready to roll icing was a lot of fun and so different to the normal 'runny' home icing I let my kids make. They had a lot of fun using my cutters to create designs and turn our cupcakes into mini works of art! All together they are really great products. I would thoroughly recommend for using at home, and I really like the idea of buying a few of these as a set for birthday gifts - instead of toys, give your children or their friends a fun, tasty and rewarding experience. Thanks Dr Oetker & Kidspot!

Our Dr.Oetker icing arrived the Tuesday after Waitangi weekend and there was much excitement when the box arrived. Unfortunately due to after school activities, we had to wait until the weekend before we could have our icing session.

My 8 yr old son made the cupcakes, as in he doesn't follow a recipe and likes to come up with his own recipe and then I put them in the oven. They have a very unique taste ;-).

I let the kids have free reign over the decorating and icing design and they couldn't believe it (maybe I'm more of a control freak than I thought? ;-). They absolutely loved it and everything was extremely easy for them to use.

We had the green ready to roll icing, chocolate silver pearls, the chocolate designer icing with four different nozzles, chocolate writing icing, wafer flowers and cupcake centres. They made an assortment of cupcakes and loved experimenting with the designer icing and nozzles the most.

They began with cutting out circles of the green icing to cover the cupcakes (my suggestion), and moved on to making little worms and creatures akin to playdoh which was way more fun (that's why I need to stop interfering).

The chocolate silver pearls were obviously very tasty as it appeared a couple went on the cakes and a couple in their mouths. They didn't like the taste of the wafer flowers on their own but they were perfectly fine when eaten with the cake and icing.

I though it was a fabulous idea to have the nozzles attached to the packet of the designer icing, perfect if you don't have any icing utensils at home. You can ice your cakes like a professional without buying all the equipment. Also handy if you're away on holiday at a bach or similar.

Dr.Oetker products would be perfect for a group play date or birthday party, where you could set up a cup cake icing station and let the kids decorate the cakes however they like. My kids thoroughly enjoyed it and proudly took some cakes to Dad's office and their piano teacher as a treat.

My daughter tried the mug cake while her brother was at a friends house. It didn't appear fully cooked after I microwaved it so we microwaved it for a little longer and all good. My daughter decided to add some milk to her cooked mug cake and she thought it was delicious. Again, really handy if you are going away and have access to a microwave, or if you're really craving some cake but don't have time (or want to) make a whole cake.

Overall we were really impressed with the taste and the ease of use of all the products we received. The kids have been asking if they can have another cake decorating session this weekend so that's definitely a thumbs up from them. :-)

I couldnt wait to try these products! My daughter was thrilled when the box of goodies arrvied. After having a look at what we got, we decided to have a baking day together. We made vanilla cupcakes and used the surprise centres to fill them I was really pleased with how easy these were to use- the nozzles didnt ruin the cupcakes when inserted, and the chocolate centres were really yummy! We used the designer icing and silver pearls to decorate the cupcakes. My daughter absolutely loved making these, and they looked more professional than anything else we have made together.
The following weekend i used the ready roll icing on a cake I made for my sisters son's birthday and it was a breeze to use!
Overall i was really impressed with Dr.Oetker products. They make baking and decorating so easy and hassle free. I would throughly reccommend!

I was so excited to be selected for this trial! My son Archie loves helping me in the kitchen, so we decided to make some cupcakes over the weekend for our friends coming over for a play date. We got stuck in and had such a blast! The chocolate centers are super easy to use- even Archie with his small hands could fill the cupcakes easily. The icing went on the cupcakes with ease (this was a mummy job!) and the little coloured flowers are way to cute! Really awesome products to impress the friends and family with.
My husband and I made the mug cake to share one evening and it was delish! I would consider buying these as a sneaky treat for every now and then as they are very easy and went really well with vanilla icecream on the side.
We will definitely be buying Dr.Oetker products in the future :)

Huge excitement when our pack arrived! The kids wanted to get started immediately so we got baking. Dr Oetker products rock! So easy to use! We made a couple of batches of cupcakes so that we could use them all - and found them all a breeze. The kids favourite was the surprise centres, I loved the designer icing, ready to go with nozzles and all. I've never had much luck with piping bags/nozzles so I was thrilled when Dr Oetker's one was super easy to work and create with! My 8 year old rolled out the ready to roll icing herself and used cookie cutters to shape it to create toppers for some of the cupcakes - looked fab! We put the silver pearls inside the wafer flowers and iced them into place - which also looked fab! Will definitely be buying these products in future, the kids are already asking when they get to decorate again. Thanks heaps kidspot!

We were really excited to receive our Dr Oetker pack! I wanted to trial all of the products with my kids. First we made a batch of chocolate cupcakes so we could try the surprise chocolate centres and the designer chocolate icing in one hit. The surprise centres nozzle inserted easily, without spoiling the appearance of the cupcakes. They tasted delicious too! The designer icing was a little trickier. We loved the attached nozzles! However, despite squeezing the packet and submersing it in warm water, the icing was still tricky to squeeze out and create the effects we were after. However, the kids and I had heaps of fun experimenting! We decorated them with the chocolate silver pearls and the wafer flowers. We loved the effects, and the kids couldn't wait to take them to school to show their friends! On a different day, we made a batch of vanilla cupcakes so we could use the ready to roll green icing. The instructions were easy to follow and the icing easy to manipulate. We made some greedy pigs, and had some more fun with the silver pearls and wafer flowers. The finished cupcakes look great! The chocolate mug cake I saved for when the kids were in bed. It was easy to use and a great treat for one! Overall, we really enjoyed trying these products and the great product range will come in handy when I create their birthday cakes! Thank you for the opportunity!

First my son tried the mug cake. I'm not sure why but it didn't turn out (bakers of the year). I think the mug he used was to big or he didn't stir it enough. It just didn't cook.
I am going to buy another one and try it again. Then I made some cupcakes and we used the chocolate centre. It was very easy to insert with the nozzle and made our plain vanilla cupcakes taste way better. We decorated some using the edible wafer daisies and silver pearls. It was funny my son didn't think you could eat these. With the ready to roll icing he made some petals and used the silver pearls as the flower centre. We had so much fun. I would recommend these products to family and friends. My son say's he will do well with his decorated cupcake that they make for calf club every year now he has more baking things he can use. Thank you kidspot and Dr. Oetker for letting us trial all these amazing baking products, will definitely buy these products again, hopefully make that mug cake !!

Thanks for choosing me to do a review!
My daughter turns 5 next month so she was super excited to find all the cool items in the box when she opened it. I'm not very creative when it comes to decorating so it was great to try out the Dr Oeteker products.
I loved the Surprise Inside Cupcake Centres - it was so easy to use and made plain vanilla cup cakes so much more exciting and delicious to eat. Miss 4 loved filling the cup cakes herself & any left over icing in the pouch soon disappeared as she sucked it all out!
The Designer Icing Chocolate with the 4 nozzles made icing the cup cakes a breeze...the consistency was just right and saved time in me having to make icing. Miss 4 was getting creative icing away and she loved the wafer flowers & silver pearls. The wafer flowers have a long shelf life so we'll be able to use them for future birthday cakes!
It was a very humid morning when we used the Ready to Roll Icing so it was quite sticky to handle so that's something you might want to keep in mind when using it. We still continued to decorate the cup cakes though and because of how "floppy" the icing became from the heat, we were able to use some of it to layer over top a cup cake which looked quite cool - check out our photos!
I will definitely being more Dr Oeteker products over the next few weeks as Miss 4 & I decide what kind of birthday cake she wants. What I really love about these products are that they are ready made meaning you don't have to make icing from scratch and they are easy enough to use, regardless of your age! Just remember to keep an eye on your children in case they decide to squeeze the icing directly into their mouth like my daughter attempted numerous times !!!

More baking completed. It was great fun trying to convince my daughter not to such on the pouches of Chocolate centre or the icing!! Loved the flower wafers (as we decorated) It made my baking look absolutely amazing and it tastes equally decadent. Really impressed with the quality and ease of these products. Thanks again for letting me sample them. The Cupcake Centres and the Flowers are definitely going to be on my shopping list for my future baking occasions!

We were luck to get chosen in the Dr. Oetker trial. So many amazing looking products! So far I've tried the Dr. Oetker Rich Chocolate Mug cake. Very easy to make and delicious. It fully hit the spot with some hokey pokey ice cream on top. And I didn't have to share 😜 Me and the kids are looking forward to making some cupcakes later in the week to trial the designer icing chocolate, the surprise inside cupcake centres rich chocolate, and decorate with the silver pearls, mini wafer flowers and the green ready to roll icing πŸ‘πŸ». Yum.

Last night I tried the cake in a mug. Really simple and an awesome concept. It came out super moist which was fantastic however a bit lacking in flavour unfortunately. More baking to come

So many things to try! We've still got a couple to do! As my daughters cupcake decorating photo shows, they had a great time decorating. They really enjoyed the icing nozzles that came attached to the icing. They found them easy and convenient to use by just attaching them to the icing pouch and were able to do a lot of different techniques which look quite professional. After decorating 12 cupcakes we still have left over icing which tastes great. They added the cupcake centre paste inside the cupcakes before decorating. I ate a flower expecting them to be icing and was surprised they were made from wafer. The silver balls were nice with chocolate inside but I wasn't sure about the hard centres. We are yet to try our mug cake and our green ready to roll icing. May be next weekend's treat!

Thank you for selecting me to trial these products, just had a baking day with miss 2 and boy did these products make things just that little bit easier.

We started by making cupcakes, and used the cupcake centres – was pleasantly surprised, I half expected it to taste artificial and not that nice ( as previous experiences with brought frosting etc ), it actually tasted like chocolate ( as miss 2 said YUMMY! ) it was easy/fun to use, even miss 2 had a turn to squeeze the chocolate into the cupcake, it wasn't messy which is a bonus ( love cooking – dislike cleaning up mess ).

We decorated the cupcakes with the designer chocolate icing, loved this product! Saves so much time and so much easier than fluffing around with icing bags – which 9/10 will split on you half way through. No messing around – just kneed the pouch for a minute or so, pop on the nozzle you want to use, and ice.. Easy peasy! ( great for kids as its not so messy ) Miss 2 had fun decorating her cupcake (with mums help).

The silver balls were a surprise, they were soft and chocolatey, not like those crunchy hard tooth breakers I've used in the past. I wouldn't hesitate to use these ones for kids cakes etc.. And the wee wafer flowers – so cute and dainty! Perfect for when you need a professional looking job done, and not much time on your hands.

The mug cake, this was perfect as a late night treat ( when your craving chocolate but have none on hand) easy to whip up and decadent, looked great, tasted even better – I now prefer the Dr. Oetker mug cake over all the other ones currently on the market.

The ready to roll icing was used to make wee decorations for a cake, the icing packet was a great size – no wastage, I wouldn't say it was overly easy to use tho, but I tend to have trouble with all types of ready to roll icing, so try to avoid using it. I found it a bit tacky, I have put this down to the weather being so hot and humid. Still despite this the decorations we made still looked good ( and was still less hassle than making and kneading colours into icing etc )

Verdict: would I buy these products, yes! They are easy/fun to use, and save a lot of time and mess. I have already looked in our local supermarket for these products and am impressed with the selection. I have two birthdays coming up in our family, I now know what I'll be decoration the cakes with! ( my favourites would have to be the cupcake filling, wafer flowers and designer icing, as well as the mug cake of course!)

We got our package of Dr Oetker baking goodies in the morning before leaving for school and the kids were all so excited and couldn't wait to get home. Anyway, I made the mug-cake. Very easy to make, very convenient and it tastes great.

This weekend, I made up a batch of vanilla cupcakes and let the boys and girl get creative. They used the Designer Icing Chocolate and the Chocolate Silver Pearls to create their own designs and yes, they absolutely enjoyed it; both the designing and the eating parts! Each child got 2 cupcakes. While decorating the cupcakes with the Chocolate Silver Pearls, I spied 3 of them popping a few pearls into their mouths rather than onto the cupcake!

I haven't used the other items yet. Will post another review next week.

Thanks very much for this creative, delicious and very fun trial!

Wow! We were so excited to be chosen for this trial! My girls and I love baking together.
WE made chocolate cupcakes with surprise inside (girls loved this) they were yummy the icing and chocolate for the centre of the cupcakes were so easy to use even for a 5 and 8 year old. The silver choc ball decorations were a favourite with the kids as they were not hard like they thought they were going to be but yummy and looked cool on their cupcakes. They had so much fun rolling out the ready made icing and making shapes to decorate their cupcakes and there is still lots left over to make something else! We will definitely be purchasing these products to use again.
Super easy to use and tastes great. I also love that you can reseal to reuse any leftovers :). Very impressed! Firstly, thank you so much Kidspot for choosing us to trial such an incredible range of Dr. Oetker baking products. I'm sure the whole neighbourhood could have heard Miss Six and Master Three's shrieks of delight as we opened up the box that arrived on our door-step. The kids were so eager to get started that they couldn't even wait for me to bake a batch of biscuits, and simply opened up a packet of wine biscuits and began decorating away. They each took turns with the Chocolate Flavour Designer Icing and both of them found it easy to use, and they each had a lot of fun putting on all the different nozzles to try out different patterns. The consistency was perfect (not too thick, but not thin and dripping off the biscuits). And I was pleasantly surprised by the taste. Not too sweet, perfectly chocolatey, and not at all artificial tasting. One little pouch goes a long way and once open, can be stored for up to 14 days. The fact that it is already pre-coloured is great – no trying to knead white icing to a consistent colour. It's small size of package means it is also perfect for creating edible decorations without lots of icing left over. Thanks for the opportunity to try these products - it make decorating an absolute breeze and the flavours are great too. We made some chocolate cupcakes and filled them with the surprise centres - this is a great way of making something special.

The texture and taste of the designer icing was really good. I also liked the different nozzles that it came with. It went on easily and looked awesome.

The flower wafers are great for making things look pretty but the kids didn't really like the taste. However when you add a chocolate ball to the centre the become mush more pleasant. It makes for very easy decorating.

One of the favourite thins is the chocolate filled silver balls - I was expecting the hard crunch of the ones I had used previously. These are a nice surprise and something that will become a definite must have in the pantry.

The ready to roll icing is lovely in texture and very easy to work with.

We loved the mug cake even though we had to share it, this will be on the shopping list as it really satisfies that late night pudding craving!

Overall we are very happy with the products and I would buy them again tomorrow. The kids loved them and they enjoyed using the decorating products, it was very easy and no mess to clean up afterwards.

What an exciting day when this arrived! And it wasn't just the kids that were excited!! We decided to make chocolate cupcakes so that we could trial the Dr. Oetker Surprise Inside Cupcake Centres Rich Chocolate. I was concerned that the centres would taste a bit artificial, however when we made them and tried them they turned out beautifully! The kids almost exploded with excitement! Imagine having a delicious chocolate cupcake and then finding an amazing gooey delicious chocolately surprise inside! I had to stop myself from eating the whole lot. I loved how some of it soaked into the cupcake to make it deliciously moist. I would imagine if you made a horrible dry batch of cupcakes or muffins they could most definitely be resurrected with this delicious magic trick!. This cupcake centres would certainly make any amateur baker look like a fancy professional! It was so easy to insert the centres, I even let my 4 year old boy have a go. He loved helping and now thinks he's an amazing cupcake making baker!

Next we decided to add some decorations. So I let my son loose with a little bit of the green ready to roll icing. I couldn't believe how smooth and shiny this was. often I try this sort of thing with other products and bits dry out quickly and crack. This seem to stay super glossy and quite pliable without becoming grainy or cracking around the edges. He made himself a sea ,monster and a lizard to go on top. I then used a wee mould to make some little green leaves. I was able easily press it in to the shape and carefully pull it out without destroying it, so I was very happy with the results.

Next we tried out the Dr. Oetker Designer Icing Chocolate, which I was also concerned that it would taste a little artificial, however I was pleasantly surprised with this. It has such a beautiful rich chocolately flavour and was going to perfectly complement my chocolate flavoured, chocolate filled cupcakes or perhaps they should be called 'Triple Chocolate Cupcakes'! I tried out all the different nozzles and they made it so easy that I think I might never bother trying to make my own decorating icing again! The consistency was so perfect that they came out so nicely and stayed exactly where I needed them too, without the worry of them collapsing into a pool of melted icing on the top!

We then added all the green icing embellishments and for the final touch added the gorgeous wee Dr. Oetker Edible Mini Wafer Flowers. I was seriously impressed with these! They look amazing, almost like real flowers and they are quite durable so you don't need to be too careful putting them on. I didn't break a single one. They are so fine, there is no way I could make something like myself without it being impossible to handle. The kids loved using these to decorate everything too! There were also heaps of them in the box. I will definitely have this on hand for emergency decorating needs.

And just for some added sparkle we added some Dr. Oetker Chocolate Silver Pearls. I have never seen anything like these either. Usually silver balls like these just about break your teeth. These were quite soft and the centre was actually made from chocolate! Yes! Another bonus! I love this stuff!

I'm really look trying out the Dr. Oetker Mug Cake Rich Chocolate... maybe this will be just for me!

I will definitely be recommending these to my friends. I can't believe how amazing these products made my baking and decorating. Although if I just keep it a secret they will think I am just an amazing baker! Hmmm.... And it was a whole lot faster than other methods. I love that I can just have any of these products at arms reach in the cupboard for those unexpected guest emergencies!

Our kids were ultra-excited at the arrival of the Dr. Oetker baking pack! These kids love to bake, but let’s face it, the decorating is the β€˜icing on the cake’ where they get to be creative, have some ownership of the end product, and best of all, eat it!

The two most important factors for me with decorating products is that they are 1)easy for kids and adults alike to use and 2)look and taste great. Bang for buck is also important.

We decided to bake vanilla cupcakes as we were keen to try out the Dr. Oetker β€˜suprise inside’ cupcake centres – kids eat first with their eyes so they were entranced by the gooey chocolate and the mystery of how it finds its way into the cupcake. My seven year old boy was able to fill the cupcakes (which need to be quite warm) by simply removing the pouch lid and inserting the nozzle into the cupcake; it takes a little practice to get the quantity right as you want the gooey chocolate to spill out when you take a bite. We decorated the cupcakes with the chocolate flavoured designer icing, also in a pouch – there is a choice of 4 nozzles and once again it’s easy for kids to use; my 5 and 7 year olds took turns at piping their cupcakes. The icing was a good consistency as with some brands you have to squeeze the tube hard which is tricky for kids. The gooey cupcakes were a big hit – it probably pays to use the pouch in one go as you can’t refrigerate it for too long. While I usually make my icing from scratch, the Dr. Oetker designer icing pouch is really handy if you are in a rush and don’t want to mess about with piping bags.

Two of the Dr. Oetker products that caught my eye were the Edible Mini Flower wafers, you get 40 delicate wafer flowers in a variety of pastel shades, really pretty and crying out to adorn a beautiful cake. We made a hummingbird cake and my 5 year old loved placing the flowers on top of the buttercream icing. We put Dr. Oetker Chocolate Silver Pearls in the centre of the flowers. I used Dr. Oetker Ready to Roll Icing (green) to create some decorations for the cake by rolling out a chunk of the icing, and cutting leaf and a frog shape. I didn’t have small cookie cuts so instead I used (sterile) playdough moulds. All of these products have long shelf lives which is useful. My daughter and I had a great time decorating it and it was popular with the gang of neighbourhood kids who helped us eat it! I love the Edible Mini Flower wafers and the Dr. Oetker Chocolate Silver Pearls because they’re versatile products and also good value for money.

I would recommend this range of products to friends and family, especially those with kids. They were easy to use, and visually appealing. We had a German exchange student for afternoon tea and she said that in Germany, every family has Dr Oetker baking products in their pantry. With children’s parties and school cake stalls always around the corner, definitely worth having some of these items in your pantry. We still have to try the Chocolate Mug cakes. Photos to come soon!

Wow what a treat receiving these products to trial were! Well, I only just received these yesterday so I felt I had to catch up so my son and I got to baking my simple Vanilla Cupcake recipe so we could use as many of the products at once to see what they were really like!
First impressions, these Dr Oetker products look enticing. I am sure they would stand out on the shelf in the supermarket with their bright colours and brand name. Keen to use A.S.A.P :-)
So, my son and I made Vanilla Cupcakes.
Once slightly cooled, we squirted the Surprise Chocolate Centre mixture into them. I was really surprised how easy this was to use. The nozzle seems just the right length to get enough Chocolate inside, but not too long that it goes right through to the bottom and out the other side of the Cupcake. This impressed me. It was also easy to squeeze out. Once cooled a little more, we added the Mini Wafers on top of the hole where the chocolate surprise had been inserted. On looking at these they look cute and very cool. They look delicate but they are not really. Then we used the Designer Icing. This squeezy pouch was soo easy to use, and with the four attachments we tried them all. It's so easy to make very cool designs with the nozzles and you have total control over the icing stage. I was very impressed how minimal effort was needed to ice my cupcakes. Much easier and less mess than the old fashioned way! Plus, I will be keeping the nozzles for use in the future. Next, we added the Chocolate Silver Balls. These were of course tried first to see what they taste like and they are yummy. Nice chocolate flavour and not likely to break any teeth like the other types you can buy in store. I will be using these in the future to decorate my cakes etc, as they look super awesome and they taste very nice. I have attached several photos of the stages, whilst making these and using these products. We really enjoyed the different products and the flavours. It really does make cake decorating soo much easier. Will definitely recommend these to family and friends!
The cake in a cup I tried today. Was so easy to make, I was really surprised with how easily mixed the ingredients was when added to the Milk. It was also cooked super quick in the microwave and once cooled a little, was a really rich Chocolate flavour. I will be buying these again in the future as a nice treat.
We are yet to try the ready-to-roll Icing but will post once used.
Thank you Kidspot for letting us trial these products. My husband and children were very impressed with the end results and different flavours.

I can't believe I've never used these before - we've had so much fun! The Mug Cake was so delicious that I've actually had to go out and purchase a couple more to keep in the cupboard for the hubby and myself. The kids have loved using all of the decorations. We made a batch of cupcakes for the kids first day back at school so the decorating nozzles and little silver balls were perfect! The Surprise Cupcake Centres are genius and weren't too sweet which made them a big hit. My son loved squeezing them into the cupcakes (and into his mouth haha). The only thing with the Surprise Centres was that there was no reusable lid so would be good to have one of those. My daughter helped me make a cake for a shared lunch at work using the rolled icing and the wafer flowers which went down a treat. Overall this was a massive hit in our house and I will be picking up Dr. Oetker in our shopping from now on. Thanks Kidspot!

My 13-year-old daughter and I had fun using Dr Oetker's baking products. My daughter says they were so easy to use and yummy tasting, too. She did the mugcake first on Waitangi Day, using a mug she got for Christmas from her Secret Santa. Before I could even ask for a taste, she ate it all already. Today, I baked some chocolate cupcakes after school, and she and I used the rest of the Dr Oetker products. Although I would prefer using the traditional icing bag and nozzles, for my daughter, Dr Oetker's was much more fun and easy to use. The Surprise Inside Cupcake Centres Rich Chocolate was soooo good. Not too sweet. Just perfect. We only wish it had a resealable cap, since we didn't use it all. Other than that, Dr Oetker's baking products totally rock! We'd certainly buy them and use them again and again. Thanks heaps for the trial, Kidspot!

We had so much fun with these goodies. First my daughter made a batch of cup cakes. She filled them with the surprise cupcake centre which was so easy for her to do. She poked the easy nozzle into the top of the cupcake and filled them up. Next she used the designer icing. It was a little hard to squeeze this out of the pouch to start with but she just popped the whole pouch into a cup of warm water and hey presto, it became nice and runny. It is such a great idea to have extra shaped nozzles attached to the pouch. This made it so much fun for her. She used the silver balls to decorate the cupcakes. We were worried at first that they were going to be very hard, however they were soft and tasted yummy, kinda had a choclatey taste to them. She also popped a few edible flowers on some of the cupcakes. Last but not least she made the mug cake. This also was very easy as the cake was already to go, she just had to add milk and mix to a smooth consistency, then microwave. This is very moist and decadent to eat. She decorated it with the ready to roll icing to add a little something special to it.
This really was the best baking fun we have had for a long time. All of these products are of a high quality, so easy to use and mess free. We invited some family members to come around for cupcake afternoon tea, and they are all going to buy some of these products as well.

These are amazing! We had a little tea party for my daughter and her friends on her birthday and I was so impressed with how quick and easy these were to use...not to mention tasty! The Surprise Cupcake Centres were the biggest hit and the kids had fun piping out their icing and decorating them too. My favourite part? No big mess! I will definitely be a repeat buyer. Thanks Kidspot and Dr. Oetker for this fun trial.

These products are so easy to use! My 5 year old and 2 year old had so much fun squeezing the chocolate into the muffins and decoratin the tops of them.so hassle free and easy to usee found the icing a little hard so soffend under hot water for a minute.
The cake in the cup is amazing!such a quick and easy dessert! Haven't used the silver ball's as their a little to hard on the teeth but the wafer flowers and so easy to pop on the cake or muffins.
Over all love this product and will only use this from now on

Package arrived this morning and perfect timing as I had just made a batch of muffins. The Dr. Oetker product packaging was pretty with easy to follow instructions.

First step was the cupcake centre surprise filling... The cap came off in my hand and wouldn't go back on, but never mind as the contents was soon squeezed easily into the batch of muffins.

Next I used the designer and writing icing. It was hard to decide which of the 4 nozzles to choose from, but the star nozzle and writing nozzle were used.

Next came the mini wafer flowers. Loved the size and colour of then. So delicate looking.

Then I used the silver pearls to finish off the decorations. I'm an inexperienced decorator, but I think I did alright.

Then for morning tea I treated myself to the rich chocolate mug cake. OMG, so tasty and so easy to follow the instructions. The cake was moist and the perfect size for 1 person.

I had fun trying (and eating) the products and can definitely say anybody of any age and skill, will find them easy to use.

Everything from the samples received are now going on my shopping list. Items are easy to use and will add a touch of panache to cakes and muffins.

After school I popped into the shop and picked up another Mug Cake packet. My 12 yo said the instructions were easy to follow. He scoffed the lot and said "wow, that was perfect"

We were very excited and much appreciative of the box delivered today to our home - the new Dr Oetker decorating / baking items. Thank you for this chance to trial these, we will be doing this over the next week and will post back here as to how we find using each product. One thing I am impressed with right at the start is with the wafer flowers - they come in a box and when I shook the box, I thought they sounded broken, but to my pleasant surprise when I opened the box - they are all intact and there are heaps of these little cuties!! very excited to try them, thank you.

We were very excited to try the Dr. Oetker baking pack! My 2 year old had heaps of fun helping to decorate our cupcakes and cookies. All of the products were extremely easy to use- my daughter even managed to use the surprise inside cupcake centres! Everything tasted really great as well. I could see the designer icing being convenient to use and the variety of nozzles was great! The icing didn't hold its shape as well as a traditional buttercream icing would (which is what I would usually use to ice cupcakes), however as a quick and easy alternative I would definitely use it. The decorations were really cool and my daughter had heaps of fun using these (and eating them). I have already scouted out the rest of the range of the decorations and will remember them for future use. The ready to roll icing was also great to use and very easy but found it got soft in the warmer weather. And, lastly the mug cake was delicious!!

Thank you for giving my family the opportunity to test and review the Dr. Oetker baking/decorating range we had so much fun.
Everything was yummy, the surprise inside cupcake centers was very easy to use, I found with my home being quite warm inside that the ready to roll icing was a little tricky to work with as it was very soft and sticky so definitely pays to have a cooler area to work in, the designer icing I found was great and loved the attachments also but my 9 yr old did struggle a little trying to squeeze the icing out, my little girl(2) loved decorating with the silver pearls and waffer flowers as well as eating them they are so easy and fun and yummy to decorate with, I have not yet used the mug cake as don't have a microwave but will send it to work with hubby to trial it. Thank you so much again my kids and I loved using these products and will definitely keep and eye out in store when the birthdays start rolling around.

My goodies have arrived. Thank you very much. Today we made the Mug cake. I was hoping it wouldn't taste very good so I wouldn't go out and buy more :). It was super easy to make (just add milk and microwave). It was ready in one minute. I tipped it out onto a plate and it looked exactly like the picture with the sauce on top drizzling down the sides. It smelt really good and my six year old inhaled it. I had to fight her to get a spoonful and when I did it was perfect, wasn't rich and the sweetness was just right. It wasn't stodgy in fact quite light and fluffy. These are going to go down well in our house, quick easy dessert to make (or a treat for myself).
BJW - 11:10 AM on Sun-5-Feb-2017 reply | message
Well I must say the Designer Icing which is already made in the pouch and kneaded before use was just so much easier than my usual icing bag which is so messy and I end up wasting so much that it's been quite an effort icing any baking and I usually go back to my butter, icing sugar, cocoa and water recipe without using any nozzles. My sons', daughter and I had great fun using the different nozzles for the cake and cupcakes we made and found this absolutely brilliant.

Ready to Roll Icing was easy following the instructions of placing between freezer bags and rolling without getting any stickiness which usually happens on the rolling pin. We had the green coloured icing and used different animal shape cutters to place on biscuits using a little bit of jam to make it stick and place on the cake we had baked. Easy, fun and will love to use this again with the children.

The cupcake centres were too easy to use with the children squirting the yummy rich chocolate into the centres of the cupcakes when they were still warm. We did get a couple of crumbles as this was tried when the cupcakes were still too hot and broke so wait until a little cooler next time - follow the instructions. Tasted yummy and a wonderful surprise for a couple of neighbours who tried.

Mug Cake had easy to follow instructions and I was a little sceptical along with my husband who was doubtful this would work and taste as nice as a normal cake. The children mixed the mug cake chocolate mixture in the cup with the milk not needing any more utensils to wash which is a bonus and it actually rose up in the mug tasting just about as good as a slice of my homemade chocolate cake. The appearance of this mugcake was exactly how I expected it to look as on the packet. We're check these out next time to see if there are other flavours, but I'm sure we will buy the chocolate again as it is so easy to make especially if the children bring a friend home after school to play then this would be ideal for them to bake and eat.

The Chocolate Silver Pearls and Edible Mini Wafer Flowers were perfect to decorate and would be ideal for parties. Very pretty appearance and so easy to handle for the children. Our family had heaps of fun using the Dr. Oetker and I'll be keeping an eye on the supermarket shelves to add these and others to the pantry. Watch out neighbours there will be more coming your way. Definitely be recommending all these products we reviewed to friends and family and so much easier than the older way of making it ourselves - it's a much have in our family.

There was much excitement, squealing and squeaking in my house on Weds when our box of Dr Oetker's baking goodies turned up. The girls were very keen to try everything out and proceeded to bake cupcakes! Both girls (aged 6 and 9) then decorated their cupcakes beautifully, unfortunately eating them faster than I could say, 'hold on, whilst I get the camera!'. The Designer Icing products are so convenient, coming with 4 different nozzles, and less mess, very easy to decorate with! The Edible Mini Wafer Flowers look gorgeous on any icing and lend a lovely delicacy to anything they are decorated with. The Surprise Inside Cupcake Centres Rich Chocolate were a great hit and this product is already on my shopping list! Several leaves, frogs and avocados (go figure) were made with the Ready to Roll Icing Green. All in all, Dr Oetker was a hit! Thanks for letting us try these products out - we will certainly be buying our favourites in future :)

Thank you so much for letting me review these products. And so timely as tomorrow I needed to make more baking to raise money for the Cancer Society at my husbands workplace. Today I'm working so it was a mad dash - so I put the Edible decorations and Ready to roll icing to the test. its deceptive how much the ready to roll icing makes - and it did a fantastic job of hiding my rushed icing! I cant wait to try the other products :)

What an incredible trial, and with my almost 4 year old sons birthday just around the corner, what better time to give these products a run for their money. Some parents dread their kids birthday time and run out to find the cheapest store bought cake, but for me the most exciting part of the day is seeing their eyes light up when the 'surprise' cake comes out that I've secretly spent the last couple of nights icing and building fondant creations for. But my sons fourth birthday will be extra special, and Miss 6 is going to be my secret sidekick and is going to help create a masterpiece for her brothers special day. I can only imagine her delight if not only was she to help with the cake, but to experiment with new cake decorating and icing products too :-)

I so would love to trial these as I've slowly started my collection. I've just tried out the writing chocolate gel for my son's birthday.
But I now have two more birthday's coming up my big girl who's the oldest of my three children and my baby girl who's coming up 2.
I love to make their birthday cakes as it's so much more personalised so to help me make them special I would love some awesome decorating essentials as in this trial.
Thanks for the opportunity to try these as I know if they came to my house they will definately be trialled by a variety of ages as my children are 10,8 and almost 2.

Yesterday my two children and I (aged 2 and 3) made our very first gingerbread men and use your ready made icing with the 4 different nozzle types to decorate. It was so super easy and man we had some laughs! Needless to say, their Aunty arrived and wanted to decorate one herself. We now have a gingerbread with a giant penis thanks to her, which the kids found immensely amusing! Happy with the quality as well - and was reasonably priced too which was a bonus. Packaging caught my eye above all the other brands available in the supermarket. Would love to trial these new products.

So I made mini cakes for her and her friends to decorate and they all had so much fun and the cakes turned out just as unique as each girl. My daughter also spends all her free time watching baking tutorial and wants to own a cake shop when she grows up. These Dr Oetker products look like such fun baking goodies to review! Our wee toddler loves getting into the kitchen to "help" when I'm baking - often ends up with more icing sugar on him then on the cookies :) We'd love the chance to try our hand at making the mug cake, perhaps topped with stripey white and green icing and silver pearls? Also, would have to try the surprise inside cupcake centres with my go-to chocolate cupcake recipe and once done, add a wafer flower or two ... If selected to review, we will definitely be providing some photos of the finished products!! :)

Artistic grandchildren who love crafts & decorating are with me for quite a bit of the school holidays.

The Dr. Oetker quality baking products making jazzy decorations would be ideal for me to teach my grandchildren the art of decorating. Their parents would see the joy on their face when they show them their creations which would be delightful. I bet they will all want to do this.

The mug cakes sound amazing baked in a microwave which is something I haven't come across and would like to know more. This could be helpful for me to taste these to see if they would come up to my standards especially when serving to friends who pop around uninvited!

I would definitely love to trial the Dr. Oetker brand with all my grandchildren and this could become a favourite school holiday activiity for all. Please put this jazzy modern day grandmother's name down to review.

Especially around birthday time, my two are a week apart and makes it quite an eventful two weeks of co-ordinating cakes for parties, daycare, school. It seems to me Dr. Oetker's baking products is a god send. Thank you thank you. 8-)

We have 2 young children age 4 and 6, they always help me in the kitchen to create desserts. My children bake with me and bring them to kindy and school. I mainly use Betty Crocker cake mix, Bakel or Satin foundant as I have used them for years and trust theit products. I would like to trial new brand for better flavor and ideas. When I Google recipes and I noticed Dr. Oetker brand but never try them. KIDSPOT is giving me the perfect opportunity to start using this brand. Please give me a chance to trial them!!

I would love to try these products as I am ALWAYS baking! I did look at the products in Countdown before Christmas and was interested in the centres to go inside cupcakes - Yum!! The reason I didn't buy anything at the time was because I hadn't heard of the brand so was a bit unsure. My son's school fair is coming up in March so I will be baking for that and some of these products would be good for then - with a trial run first of course!

The birthday cakes for the entire extended family are always left up to me, even though I often forget the sugar! I love experimenting with new products, especially things that make the job a bit easier. I've never tried ready to roll icing, and the flowers in particular look really cool! Probably a lot easier than making your own out of fondant I imagine.

I would LOVE to trial these. Baking is my happy place where I can just relax and let my stress go but I don't often get the chance now. The timing would be perfect as I have just resigned from my job to stay home and be Mum to Mr. 6 months. I never got a chance to have a leaving party due to medical complications forging me to go on leave a month early so I would love to do a shout for my team (I was 7 months pregnant and housebound - couldn't stand long enough to bake either :o ). I'm sure I would get honest reviews from these guys as the boys don't put up with bad baking :)
I can guarantee a prompt and comprehensive review and I can't wait to take some photos of my creations if I am selected.

I love baking and I regularly bake cakes at home for my hungry kids, to bring to school in their lunchboxes, or to eat at home as a snack. All four of my kids are below the age of 14, and they enjoy home-made muffins, cakes and scrolls.

I bake cakes of different flavours, but so far, I have not tried decorating my cakes in anything fancy like cream or icing. This is something I have wanted to try doing for a long time but have been procrastinating, and everytime I see pictures of beautifully-decorated baking, I wish I had the skill to do so!

So, I would appreciate the opportunity to decorate my home baking and impress my family! Thanks!

Perfect timing as my daughter is just starting to take interest in baking now she has time in these school holidays & I'm certainly enjoying teaching her the basics as I know when I taught her brothers' they can now help out with cooking when I'm too busy or have to work.

My sister's daughter is turning 10yrs old and we would just love to use the Dr. Oetker baking products to use and decorate her birthday cake and little cat biscuits which we were planning to make.

I can imagine the surprise on the children's faces when they bite into a cupcake with the delicious, gooey mixture which my daughter will certainly love to see with her cousin. Art is my daughter's favourite subject so these decorating products will be perfect for her to trial and review.

My budding chefs (9 and 6) would be delighted to trial these Dr. Oetker products. They make cakes and cupcakes regularly and are often looking for ways to decorate them from what's available in the cupboard. We have not yet experimented with ready-to-roll icing and the Rich Chocolate Mug Cake looks delicious! The Cupcake Centres product looks intriguing!

My eight year old just received a baking cupcakes book from "Santa". This would be great to help with the decorating and get the inspiration flowing to invent her own creations. Her 10 y/o brother and 4y/o sister will be lining up to be taste testers! (After mummy & miss 8!!) Baking is a big Sunday thing in our house to help with school & pre-school lunches, so this would be the icing on the cake.

Baking together is the one thing I can still get my son to happily help out with, we always come up with random creations or just different ways to decorate our usual baking to make it fun for school lunchbox snacks or just as weekend treats for the family. He's been telling me about a 'cake in a mug' that they baked in class at school so I've meaning to try it with him at home too since he was so excited about it. Thanks Kidspot.

This sounds amazing, I hadn't heard of this brand before, but would be keen to try and if I love it, find out where I can buy it.
Of most interest for me to try is the surprise inside cupcake centres, and then the mug cake (I've still not tried any of these), then the ready to roll icing, I've always avoided rolled icing thinking I might stuff it up and waste it, but would love to have a go.
So yes please, would love to try out and review.

I would love to be a reviewer for these baking products. I absolutely love baking cakes and decorating them - especially to give for birthdays. I would love to try more cupcake decorating as well to bring on a family picnic with my partner and 16 month old. The cupcake centres look absolutely delicious.

Coming from Europe I am well acquainted with the Dr. Oetker range of products and I have always wanted them to arrive in New Zealand. The arrival is very exciting and I would love to be given the chance to trial this range of products. I am a keen baker and I have a few important birthdays happening in the next 4 months so I would certainly have plenty of opportunities to put these goodies to the test to see if they are as good and reliable as I remember them. Thanks in advance for considering me for the trial.
