It's kind of an odd tip, but I go with my gut!

You usually know if what you are about to buy is either worth it,within your budget, gonna put you in a tight spot so if your having a strange feeling about this purchase or if you have to think about it for too long and/or justify it to either yourself or your partner then it probably is not worth the hassle :)

this has helped me many times and the feeling I get when simply putting it back and walking away is great..........and as fate would have it, something usually always comes up where the money I did not spend is needed elsewhere :)

hope it helps some one out there

For my daughters birthday we had a 'pamper party'. A friend and I made a big fuss over the girls, painted their nails, gave them fancy hair do's, foot-spa pedicures and served an afternoon tea of cup-cakes and other sweet treats. They all felt very special and all it cost us was for food and some cheap hair accessories (we got a bunch of hair clips and ties from the $2 shop).

something I did for my daughter's 5th party was to take a group photo and then when the girls were eating, we laminated them all to hand out at the end (one child STILL asked where the party bag was). We also got the girsl to make a bracelet each when they arrived. Also to be taken home at the end. We make all the food, and cake from scratch too.

Instead of using plates, we had my daughter draw & paint glitter and sticker pictures then we put kids names on and laminated was a gift for each child to take away and saved on getting plates and it saved on a loot bag. Sorry forgot to login.
