We always get santa to put a couple of gifts on the end of the beds so theres not a big rush out, gives us time to have a cupper before getting into the gifts under the tree. I prepare a lunch box with snacks for them to eat as they wish which means the girls arent under my feet while trying to get xmas lunch ready. Always have trampoline outside and if raining have a couple of dvds ready to put on. Have a wonderful xmas everyone and a safe new year. If in Auckland prepare for rain, as its not looking good.

There are a few favourite things, but what we traditionally do on Christmas day is have a big family get together where we all enjoy not just the delicious home made food but also the company/family camaraderie with a bit of a sing along of Christmas carols and the children playing on the swing, treehouse and the trampoline in the back garden.

Our fave free thing to do with the Grandkids in the holidays are - going to the storytime at the local library - where they also do arts and crafts afterwards, going to the beach with buckets and spades and baking at home :)

We love to go to the gardens, where we can feed the ducks and play in the playground. We also take a picnic and a few friends and have a FANTASTIC time. Our holidays have losts of day trips, and these holidays will include a trip to a bach where we can collect 'pet rocks' to paint up, as well as other creative activites. The outdoors is our favourite, and we will definitely be spending a lot of time outdoors!

we loved to head off the rotorua, there was always so much to see and do with the kids, hot pools, luge riding, swimming , picnics at the lake.,it was great as there was always things for me to do as well, like a bit of retail therapy while their dad took them luge riding, not to mention all the cultural aspects of rotorua, the animal parks, like rainbow springs and paradise valley springs.

Our favorite thing to do in the holidays is go to the beach for a picnic and play in the sand or take sports equipment for a bit of ball fun. If its a rainy day our favorite thing to do is to create things from boxes. We are saving up boxes right now to make little houses or castles for this holiday break.
