Here's to inlaws

For most people, not seeing or hearing from their inlaws for a month would be a dream come true. Not for me. For me it's a bit strange. I see mine at least once a month usually, and late last year/early this year it was more like once a week with all the trips they were making up here to see Nana in the rest home. And that's not including the phone calls or texts during the week.
I came up trumps in the inlaw department. I have kind, fun, genuine good people for inlaws. As an added bonus, my parents also get along with them like a house on fire. Not that he'd ever admit it, but The Bloke thinks he's not done too badly for inlaws either.
The innies have been away on a cruise since the start of the month. The internet coverage on the boat is sketchy at best but we've managed to have a few photo updates from them when they've been in port.
A quick email last night confirmed that the cruise was finished and they were enjoying a couple of days in Barcelona before boarding their flight home. When they arrive, they'll spend a couple of nights in the city, then straight down to our place to switch shifts with my parents to look after Pocket and The Legend while The Bloke and I flit off on conference.
I probably don't say thank you enough to the innies, or my parents for that matter for being so great at jumping in when we need them. I can't imagine what it would be like without either set of them.
