Ok, I recently started a new hobby and found I am actually very good at it (I'm not usually one to blow my own horn) and have even been asked to play in a tournament with a very good player indeed that has played for years. The hobby is bridge, the card game. Now where the whole sterotype thing comes in is that I always associated bridge with old people. Little did I know that it is even more challenging then chess and really is the hardest brain challenge I have ever had, even alot more then tertiary assignments and exams. The amount of things that you have to remember is mind blowing (that is if you play it properly) and even people that have played for years and years still make alot of mistakes. I really do believe that bridge players must not suffer from alzhemiers in later life because they are givining their brain such a great workout. I have also played lawn bowls that I throughly enjoyed but was also something that I sterotyped with old people. I guess the whole point of the blog is the by sticking to sterotypes and not venturing into things because you are not teh sterotypical player or person your eally can miss out on finding out how great you are at things or learning new things. I am also interested in other sterotypes fellow kidspotters have, do share!!!
