The Heat is On!
Posted 6:45 AM on Fri-11-Apr-2014
One of the online courses I am doing at the moment has a deadline.  I didn't really pay too much attention to it when I signed up in November.  But I took a look yesterday and noted it was 1st of May.  That's not far away and I have 30 parts left to go.  At 1 - 2 hours each.  Ummmmm....I may be quiet for a bit lolz.

Posted 9:33 PM on Sun-6-Apr-2014
It is Sunday night, and I have three courses on the go at the moment. One digital marketing one just waiting for me to take the big final test, and two project management courses. I have a website to finish and business to build for a set launch date. I have a few chores crying out to be done. And what am I about to do? Go to sleep! That's what! Good night!!

Study can be fun..

When your lecturer sounds so good Irish, with a head cold.  So a bit husky.  LolzI'm doing this course at the moment, by webinar.  Except I constantly miss the lecture - it's at 7am GMT, so basically 7pm here - anywhere between 7 and 9 my kids are going to bed so it's just not great timing.  So I have to wait for the recording to be published and that happens around 9:30pm.  Then the one hour lecture is filled with questions as well, which they try to keep to the end.  80% of the questions are stuff he has already said.  But I am learning heaps because I am engaged and enjoy listening to him talk.  In fact, I think if he was teaching an Read More...

Boy do I feel out of the loop at the moment.Social Life = zero! I'm surviving on 5 hours sleep a night too. Yes some of you out there are just, or more, sleep deprived after having babies, but when you don't have a baby, and have been sleeping all night for years, this take a little getting used to.Being a parent and studying is hard. I figured now that my children are older it would be easier than when I was studying last time, and they were in daycare. I was wrong. I had failed to take into account that older children stay up later, and chat your ear off. Miss 15 is rarely in bed before 11pm and gets rather frustrated when I tell her I can't talk and need to read. 200 pages Read More...

Officially Crazy

I have two Project Management Courses on the go.  One my husband got me online for my birthday.  One that work is paying for me to do online.  And today I saw a online marketing course and so I now have three courses on the go!  Ekkk.  And that is not including my SIT certificate I started in 2012, in...project management. I am sure that is the definition of crazy.  Go on, tell me I'm not MAD!  hee hee

Public speaking

My littlest boy turned 5 in June and started school. Today at the celebration assembly he stood up in front of the whole school, all the teachers, dps and principal, and sundry parents to tell them about the achievements, fun and learning of the New Entrants syndicate. Sitting waiting on a bench at the front of the hall, his wee feet didn't even reach the floor. And when he got up to talk the microphone was nearly as big as his face. To emphasise things, just in case people hadn't noticed what a wee dot he is, he was sitting next to the head boy (his hero Ben)who is a grown up looking Yr 8.Then a big clear voice came out of my little boy. He told us all about their trip to Orana Pa Read More...

Class of 2013
Posted 11:13 PM on Tue-3-Dec-2013
I had such a proud mummy moment tonight watching Mr18 at his Yr13 graduation ceremony.  Seeing each student go up to receive their certificate and say where they were heading next year was a special moment. I was amazed at the number of students heading into a Bachelors of Science at numerous university's around the country. There are also a few having a gap year before heading off to tertiary studies. There were photo's displayed of each and every student from their first year of college. It was amazing to see the change from the yr9,  12 & 13yr olds to Yr13 , 17 & 18yr old young men and women. Read More...

Squeaking through
Posted 10:57 AM on Fri-29-Nov-2013
Yuss... I passed the exam of my final paper so have now completed my diploma in psychology! It was a squeak through mind you, but with all that has been going on over the past semester, I'm just happy with a pass! I was so frightened I was going to have to resit the exam which means, I would of been doing my nursing degree as well as studying for a resit of the exam during the first semester of next year. Mr18 is right this moment doing his last exam of the year, with Mr15 having finished his on Wednesday. So we are all free now to enjoy the summer break in between moving house and settling into our new home.

Study it
Posted 6:47 AM on Tue-12-Nov-2013
Well, my study is in full swing now. And I'm feeling it a little this morning. Its the reason I've been a little quiet around here lately.Having not studied for 8 years at university level, I'm a little out of touch. Its taking me a while to get used to the 'lingo' again. I'm using the summer to get used to it again, before I have to take on two papers at once, instead of just the one. How some people do 4 papers at once I have no idea!!There are many people I have 'met' online doing this paper two, who are also parents of young children. Some with babies, who are taking up to 3 papers this summer. Where do they find the time? I don't know, but I&# Read More...

I obviously really love pressure... Just submitted my assignment with 1 minute to spare :P! I really enjoy studying but with these last 2 psyc papers are really doing my head in, lol. I have had so much going on and have sort of lost my mojo a little... Perhaps its because my mind is on other things or whatever, I don't know. Anyhow now I have 2 and a half weeks to study for my exam and it will be head down bum up I can assure you as I have catching up to do there as well. Oh well off to bed I go knowing I won't sleep well as I will be going over my assignment in my head wishing I had added this or that or remembering I have forgotten to add something :P! Nite x
