Group Name: CalciYum Milk

CalciYum is just right for active growing kids - with 50% more calcium* to help build strong bones, plus Vitamin D to assist calcium uptake and natural dairy protein for growth and development. Plus it has no artificial colours, flavours or sweeteners.

(* 50% more calcium than regular flavoured milk which contains 115mg of calcium per 100ml).

CalciYum flavoured milk is available in 4 great flavours: Chocolate, Banana, Strawberry and Caramel, in three handy pack sizes - 250ml single, 3pack and 6pack. It doesn't need to be refrigerated so it's perfect to keep in the pantry as a convenient drink for the kids.

CalciYum is a great drink for the lunchbox, and provides one of the three serves of dairy that a child needs each day.

My two year old daughter has just got into eating calcium dairy food and she is loving it!! She has previously had milk protein allergy but fortunately has outgrown it!
She is loving trying all sorts of new dairy products...I'm sure she would love this as much as the dairy food! Thanks : )

My daughter loves these, she won't drink milk often but having some flavour in them is great and more Calcium is a bonus

My kids always nag me at the supermarkets buy CalciYum but I have been hesitant in buying it as am in a strict budget and can't afford to buy things that they don't like. Trialling the product would be a good first step. They love Milo so should like CalciYum.

Because my son loves milk and I would like to try him on flavored milk .

We got the opportunity to trial these but after having to hunt round Christchurch to find them as they only seemed to come in singles we wound up with a batch that were off. I complained to the supermarket involved but without a receipt I couldn't get them replaced. We wound up buying a couple and the kids loved them and according to my 6 year old they are the yummiest milk ever :)
cassara - 1:51 PM on Wed-1-Aug-2012 reply | message
We managed eventually to honour both coupons - we just had to go to a bigger town with a proper sized supermarket first :)

We got chocolate and banana - well the kids got the banana :) I loved the chocolate flavour, used to live on the stuff when I was pregnanat (9 years ago) and it is still as yummy. Now for the kids reviews:
Miss 8 - packaging made it look good, and she noticed it said to shake well before opening. She thought it was delicious, and easy to open, except thought it needed to say which way to take the straw out of the plastic
Mr 8 - Yummy, easy to open, good size serve, and was happy to notice the packaging was recycleable - caring for the environment is my boy
Miss 12 - also had a bit of trouble with the straw. She thought it was ok - but said she thought it was a bit watery.
Thanks Kidspot & Calciyum - a yummy trial to enjoy

I think my child will love it bacause she loves milk. She would also love the flavor and is at the stage where she loves drinking through a straw so she would think its great to trail this product. =)

These have become a regular in our weekly shop. We also take them along to bbqs and parties so she has her BYO drinks too.

I just purchased a single strawberry calciyum yesterday 89cents so good. Have to say the flavour is so much better now it doesn't taste as sugary and is definately a product I would buy again.

Our supermarket didn't have 6 packs, but were happy to honour the voucher as 2x3packs, good on ya new world! But also didn't have any chocolate in we got 3 strawb and 3 banana. great in the school lunchbox as a bit of a treat and something different. the strawberry was more popular than the banana...of course they were wanting to try chocolate after on the big shop to pak n save I grabbed a pack of them and they were indeed the favourite. A multi pack would be fantastic2x each of the flavours. yumm. thanks

We finally managed to get the pack of six ( must have been a rush on them!) The boys have taken them in their lunch boxes this week. Mr 15 " They're choice, we need to get them in the groceries. Easy to have if I don't want to walk around school with food."<br>Mr 8 " They are really Yummy!! lots of chocolate, can we have them in our lunch boxes every day? "<br>I found it really great to be able to stick them in the lunchboxes. I loved the rich flavour of the chocolate. I wanted to try the strawberry so went and got one from the supermarket, that was just as nice. Good on you Calciyum. I will definitely buy again, they are on our grocery list.
sylvia - 1:54 PM on Fri-29-Jun-2012 reply | message
Managed to get to the supermarket to these, even though there was only chocolate and strawberry flavours left, we settled for strawberry, much to Mr 6's dismay (he's our chocoholic), but will have to make another trip to the supermarket to buy some more!!!!!The boys absolutely DEMOLISHED them and we hadn't even left the car park of the supermarket....All you could hear was the straw suction even though there's nothing in there :). It's got a nice flavour and not too sweet...many thanks for the opportunity to review, have to add this now to the shopping list, cos the boys know where they are in the shop.
ssi8 - 6:14 PM on Sun-24-Jun-2012 reply | message
We're going to have to buy more of these. They are great to cart around for the munchies after sport, no mess (no spill) and great to not have to refridgerate before hand (but still lasting for ages in the cupboard). My kids all enjoyed the strawberry flavour that we could get in the 6 pack. We also saw the chocolate flavour in the 6 pack but not the multi-flavour pack - I'm going to keep an eye out for that.
My 6 year old boy, who used to be allergic to cow's milk, and now isn't (its true, you probably will grow out of the food allergies that cause excema!!) really enjoyed this stuff. Calciyum is obviously much nicer than flavoured soy milk !

Finally got a chance to pick our's up in the last grocery shop, only had Chocolate & Strawberry to chose from in the 6 pack's,so we went for Strawberry (can't for the life of me find a 3 pack any where :( )

As you can see from the photo's both boy's loved them, although maybe a bit big for wee Sterling as he left about quarter (though not too bad).
Would be super cool to have a multi pack of Flavour's as other Mum's have said.

Rohan is my mile drinker from way back, plain or flavoured,so he was really impressed with these,I tend to pick them up when on special. Have never seen Banana or caramel at any of the supermarkets I shop at,but would love to try these too if I see them.

Thanks for letting us try them a real winner in my house ;0)

Also forgot to say that I loved the idea they didnt have to be refrigerated and had a great best before date on them!!

Finally managed to gt the calciyum milk, we only had one flavour option from our supermarket though, chocolate, which I was a bit disappointed about. Nonetheless my 5 year old loved the calci yum chocolate milk! He said it was the bestest flavoured milk he had tried! I tried one also and I didnt mind it, not a huge chocolate fan though. I also bought some single packs of the strawberry and caramel flavours and the caramel one also went down a treat. We will definetly be buying some more as a treat drink maybe to have on the weekend, my son was one happy boy! Thanks for letting us trial these!
Gubsea - 2:09 PM on Wed-20-Jun-2012 reply | message
We tasted the chocolate one, absolutely scrumptious! I found it extremely convenient when having breakfast in the car (you know those late mornings where nothing goes right) it went great alongside a piece of toast and gave him the extra energy he required for running around the footy field. - Extremely sorry for the delayed response (it was quite hard tracking the product down as my local did not stock it).

Thank you for the chance to review the CalciYum Milk. We were able to get a six pack of the chocolate milk but, like many others, have had a lot of trouble trying to find a 3 pack anywhere.
I am not a big milk drinker myself but I had a taste and thought it was actually quite nice. It wasn't too sweet, had a good chocolate taste and was just the right consistency - not too thick but also not too thin and watery.
Mr 4 just loved it! He would have it every day if he could and it does appear to be quite a healthy option but it will probably stay an occasional treat. He has requested the CalciYum for his birthday party instead of fizzy drinks so we will definitely be buying more.

would love to trial calciyum milk,, love to be able to get more good stuff in my kids especially my 15 month old, as he is not liking weaning off formula and onto cows milk
IceKiwi - 6:56 PM on Mon-18-Jun-2012 reply | message
Thank you for the chance to trial CalciYum Milk.

We were finally able to get a six pack unfortunately no 3 packs around so thank you for the voucher. We chose strawberry as our flavour as there was only the option between that and chocolate.
My Mr 6 thinks its "very delicious" Miss 7 thinks it was "just right not too sweet" My Mr 4 & Miss 5 drank it all and said it was yummy and could they have some more.
I had one got to test what your giving your children and I definitely found it to be less sweet than the older version a lovely strawberry taste not too strong but not too weak either it was lovely and refreshing and made a nice treat instead of only milk.

The only downfall is that we would love to be able to get the other flavours in a 6 pack or 3 pack.
Do you do mixed 6packs? Think that'd be great if you did.

Price is not too expensive when you look at purchasing a six pack over individual purchases.
Also I have noticed that these are often on special at 99c for an individual CalciYum Milk.
Thank you for the chance to trial we will definately purchase these as a treat and look out for the other great flavours.
CrazyMumma - 11:43 AM on Mon-18-Jun-2012 reply | message
well I got my 6 pack last week. There is only 2 choices in flavours, chocolate which my son wouldnt like, or strawberry, which we got.
Its ok. He drinks about half then has had enough. When I got singles he drank fully and asked for more with the banana and caramel flavours.
Will definately consider buying for lunchboxes when we start school after the holidays but would be the single flavours.
kdc - 10:16 AM on Mon-18-Jun-2012 reply | message
My girls chose chocolate which was a hit! I was even able to have a sneaky try and thought it was lovely and smooth and just enough to have as a snack drink. Didn't see any 3 pk drinks and strawberry was the only other flavour available in the 6 pk). Thank you for selecting us to trial this CalciYum Milk.
Glenfelik - 9:47 AM on Mon-18-Jun-2012 reply | message
Yummo! Both my DD 5 and DS 3 loved their taste - DD preferred the strawberry (probably just because it was pink) and DS loved the chocolate.

I could only find strawberry and chocolate and I have honestly never seen the other flavours available in our local Countdown.

I think it is a great 'healthier than juice' lunchbox treat.

It is a no-mess option and a lot more economical than buying little single packets. Also the fact that it obviously doesn't need refrigerated straight away until open is a bonus.
atmum - 9:33 PM on Sun-17-Jun-2012 reply | message
We chose the 6 pack of chocolate (that's all that was on offer where I went). Personally, I thought the packaging was nice and simple. The lettering was fun and appealing for kids. I liked how it showed some important info in the arrow for the parents to see.
My children loved the taste and asked if we could buy more another time. They were a nice slim size and fit nicely into my son's lunchbox. He loved having a little treat in his lunchbox and I loved knowing it was a healthy treat.
I will definately be buying again! Thanks for allowing us to trial Calciyum :)

Oh wow thankyou so much for the 6pkt, I wrote a review further down on the 3pkt and the winner for my kids was the strawberry, so I got a 6 pkt of strawberry this time and they luved it. On the shopping each week I now buy them one as a treat each, they luv it.
cathw - 8:48 AM on Sun-17-Jun-2012 reply | message
W finally got a 6 pack - gave up on trying to get a 3 pack. Could only find chocolate! Unsurprisingly both my 7 and 3 year old girls really liked it. My 7 year old commented (own words) "ooh Mummy this Calciyum is definitely more milky and chocolatey than another time I had chocolate milk"." I really like this so please get us more" My 3 year old said yum mummy. So definitely we will be buying more of this. I think the product has been improved upon as I had some at least a year ago somewhere at work and this is definitely even nicer.

Was finally able to get the 6 and 3 pack from countdown. We ended up getting strawberry (3pk) and chocolate (6pk). All 3 kids loved the flavours of both milk drinks and want more so guess what we are buying in the groceries from now on. The strawberry milk was drunk first and when I asked the kids why they said because they liked the picture of Dora on the packaging. My 12yr old daughter said the real flavour and texture of both milk drinks make them easy to drink and are much better than just having plain milk. I'm very pleased with the size of the drinks and the easy to open straws. My only complaint is they are hard to find in the supermarkets and not many large supermarkets seemed to have the 3 packs.

Couldn't find 3 or 6 pack from anywhere: Fresh Choice, Countdown, New World or SuperValue. Bought my own Banana flavoured ones (that the boys picked) to review. They loved them and thought they were like banana ice blocks!
rjtaylor - 9:39 PM on Fri-15-Jun-2012 reply | message
we also had no luck finding a 3 pack, so got a 6 pak from New World. I would also love to see a mixed pack, maybe three of each caramel, choc and strawberry?? My youngest has managed to down 2 in one afternoon. She LOVES them and calls them her special milky drinks. The teenagers could care less. The pack is a great size for school lunches. I dont love the plastic wrap packaging (im unsure of a better solution though). We didnt have any spills which was a bonus, I guess we are past the age of accidental sqeezing too hard!

I managed to grab the last 3 pack of Strawberry at our local Pak n Save. The first comment I got was "Wow tastes like strawberries" and thought that was a good sign! All four of my girls (I had to buy one extra lol!) enjoyed the drink and would definitely drink it again (and have). The only downside is the difficulty of getting the straw in. Probably not a drink to put in their lunch boxes but excellent as a treat! Loved it!
lotsakids - 3:38 PM on Fri-15-Jun-2012 reply | message
Wonderful - we could not find the 3 pack but got a strawberry 3 pack from countdown.. kids LOVED them.. but i would suggest that maybe there was a mixed 6 pack as not all my boys were to happy having pink (Argh!!)
tyke2004 - 10:21 AM on Fri-15-Jun-2012 reply | message
Ok so after no luck with the three pack I got the six pack from Pak n Save, they only had chocolate and strawberry to choose from and I had such a hard time locating them, finally had to ask someone. I got the chocolate flavour, my three kids loved them, they could open them easily, though was too big for my 3 year old. It seemed to fill up my 5 & 7 year olds too, so wouldn't put them in their lunch boxes as then they wouldn't be able to eat all their lunch.

I wish there had been more flavour choices at my local supermarkets, both Countdown and Pak N Save only stocked the two flavours and in the 6 packs. I did find the name and package design very similar to the calcistrong product I had to take a second look to make sure I got the right product to the voucher.
piglet - 4:04 PM on Thu-14-Jun-2012 reply | message
yay! Finally managed to redeem my 6 pack coupon. I have to say, I found it quite hard to figure out just where in the supermarket these milks were! I think they should put them with either the long life milk items, or by the meusli bars etc as lunch box items - I'd sent hubby in a couple of times to redeem the coupon when he was getting other groceries and he gave up and came home without them both times! We chose the strawberry flavour - I am so pleased about the good calcium intake and the sugar content is not too bad, counteract each other lol. The kids loved them, they are a great size for putting in their lunch. The only thing with these tetrapacks is you can guarantee a spill, especially with a 4 year old (he wasn't doing it deliberately, but he squeezed it slightly when he picked it up). I drink it down a bit for him first to stop this happening. Would definitely be buying again, well enjoyed by the family. Thank you!

My kid's loved the CalciYum Milk, i was a bit hesitant to offer it to miss 20months but she enjoyed it so much that it has now been added to our shopping list. Pak n Save alway's have it on special so its not very expensive. A ++++ :)

Thankyou for the vouchers!! My wee Missy LOVES her *pink* milk and was so excited to get some:-))
Marley - 1:09 PM on Wed-13-Jun-2012 reply | message
My kids love "milk boxes" we got the banana as haven't seen this flavour in this size before. I like to send a milk or juice box in my daughters lunch box. I find the size a little big, fills them right up! But I still buy them for the kids, they are a nice treat drink and usually get them on special.
george8 - 11:40 AM on Wed-13-Jun-2012 reply | message
My children chose the chocolate flavour (there was only chocolate and strawberry at Pak n Save). They had them for an after school treat and all 3 children really liked them. They are a good size, just enough for a treat and no too much to fill them up fully. Reading other comments it sounds like quite a good idea to put in school lunch boxes, so I might buy some and do just that.
temsmum - 6:56 AM on Wed-13-Jun-2012 reply | message
Got the chocolate milk for my son and he loved them. Great size for the lunchbox and I froze them so they kept his lunch fresh and were still nice and chilled for lunch. Now I get some for treats in his lunchbox each week.

Got a six pack from the local New World and since the kids were with me they picked the chocolate - go figure lol! The boys took theirs to lunch today as a treat - normally its water. and they both said it was delicious! and they didnt have trouble opening the packs either, always a bonus! In fact the smile on my older boys face when i asked him was almost bigger than his face so he obviously enjoyed it!

I can't find 3 packs or 6 packs anywhere. I know they used to have the 6 packs at New World but I can't for the life of me find them. Grrrrrrrrr.

We fianlly found a 6 pack today at Countdown and my daughter chose the Strawberry flavour. They both love them. They are a good size for young kids and you know they are getting a good amount of calcium. One of my daughters won't drink plain milk so this is a good alternative. They are a great size for lunchboxes or afternoon tea. My girls are having theirs for pudding as a change. I love that they have the straw attached so they can easily be taken places and drunk say in the car or where ever.I am going to try to find some 3 packs somewhere so the girls can try a different flavour. Would be good if they had a multi pack somewhere like in the calci yum yoghurts. Great product would buy again :)

These are amazing!!! I was over the moon when not only one but two vouchers arrived! Thank you so much Kidspot and CalciYum!

My Kids love love love these so much, we bought the chocolate ones from our local supermarket. They are so convenient especially for a afternoon treat, or in the morning on the way to school. I love that they my kids can have them in the car on the way to places without making a mess everywhere, and I can guarantee they are getting a good dose of calcium!

We will definitely be buying these in our regular grocery shopping trip from now on, and will be trying the other flavours as well for a bit of a variety! But we are all sold on this product in my house hold! Thanks heaps for the chance to review!

Couldn't find the 3 pack in either Pak'n'Save or in Countdown so was pleased to hear that we were going to get a 6 pack voucher too. But haven't received it yet. Sounds like just about everyone else has got their already. :-(

My kids loved these!!! The flavour was great (we tried strawberry) and the carton size was perfect for their lunch boxes. They are a great way to ensure that my kids are getting some calcium into their day!! They are easy to use. We will definitely be buying these again!!!

Thanks for allowing my family to review these, we were lucky enough to find our supermarket sold both 3 pack and 6 packs so we got one of each, one in chocolate and one in strawberry, Miss 8 says she loved both flavors and didnt have a favourite, it was a great way of getting milk into her, she thoroughly enjoyed the product, I will definately look at purchasing these again
annette - 8:09 PM on Sun-10-Jun-2012 reply | message
Thanks for choosing us to review these, like others it took a second supermarket trip to find them in a 6 pack. My boys are 5 and 2.5 and loved the taste, I love the fact that they are not too sweet and contain less sugar than lots of other drinks. For my children the 250ml size was too big, would love to see a 150ml or thereabouts. I will still add them to my shopping list every now and then as a special treat.
Nessa - 2:50 PM on Sun-10-Jun-2012 reply | message
We received our 6 pack voucher yesterday, it was probably delayed due to the snow in CHristchurch. My husband went to New World to look for them today but they didn't have any 3 or 6 packs. He could only find the single ones. We are going to try Countdown tomorrow as I see in the reviews many could get them there :)

Great reviews ladies... My big boy and the toddler both love these, especially chocolate and caramel... they're not so keen on banana or strawberry though... but I think this is a great product and affordable too.

CalciYum rocks! My kids LOVE it. Flavoured milk would not normally be something I would buy as I am normally a 'water or milk only' kind of mum, But I can bend a bit to include CalciYum. My kids loved having their own little box. They loved the flavour (chocolate) and I am happy to let them drink it knowing that it has the high calcium content with no artificial colours and sweeteners. It was so convenient to be able to add one to my daughters lunch box too. Aswell as not being as expensive as I would have expected. Overall summary = LOVE CalciYum and will definately be buying it again. My kids thought it was a real treat!

As soon as the voucher appeared my son and daughter wanted to run down the supermarket and get these as they love their milks and regularly have me buying or making some up for pick up time from school. My son aged nearly 8 thought a fair review from him would be that there was not enough chocolate flavour :) Glad these had 25% less sugar content. Saying that he enjoyed them and gave them 9/10. they enjoy both strawberry and chocolate and the 6 packs are great value for their size. i will often nip into the supermarket pre pick up for one in the chilled section. thumbs up and we'd happily buy again. so glad no problems getting my kids to get their calcium quota :0 thanks again for choosing us.
Nilithya - 6:58 PM on Sat-9-Jun-2012 reply | message
Finally managed to find this in a 6 pack! Though only the chocolate flavour was available, that was okay as it was the flavour my daughter wanted. The following day we stopped at another supermarket & saw them there in both strawberry & chocolate so next time we might try the strawberry.
Miss 5 loved it & they are going to be great in her school lunch box next week. I had thought milk wouldn't be any good in her lunch but of course it's UHT milk so is fine! Love not having to worry about that, especially as she wont eat yoghurt in her lunches, this way she still gets some dairy other than just cheese all the time. And if I chill them it will help keep her lunch cool for a while too, bonus!
They make a great treat & will be getting them to take on the way to ballet & sports as we are always running short on time for after school snacks before activities & need things for on the go.
Love that it has the extra calcium & vitamin D & no artificial colours, flavours or sweeteners, so I feel like whilst it is still more of a treat item, it has some goodness to it.
The longer, slimmer sized box than some drinks makes it easier to fit in the lunchbox & also seems to be less likely to be squeezed whilst drinking (so far!) so no spills. Not that I can imagine her allowing any spills since she said it was, "Soooo yummy!!" and the straw was easy for her to manage inserting without any help.
I felt the price, at around $6 for a 6 pack, was reasonable & a lot cheaper than the drinks we end up buying when out sometimes if we have forgotten to take one, even bottled water, so we will definitely be adding these to the grocery shop.
Thanks for letting us trial & review them! Everyone go get a pack!

Boy were my kids excited when i pulled the strawberry CalciYum milks out of the fridge! They loved having their own little individual little box of milk each, thought it was great fun being able to open the straw and put it in the hole themselves and drunk the whole lot with no mucking around and no mess!!! They loved the taste and are very excited to try the other flavours. We will definatly be buying them for treats and when we are going out on day trips. Thanks for letting our family try these yummy milks!

Thank you so much for letting our family try these! The kids thought they were DELICIOUS! After having such an aversion to milk for the last few years they certainly loved these and could not believe that it was actually milk when I told them! They are so handy to chuck in a bag if we go out, or in their lunch box. I am so glad that they finally have something with calcium that they enjoy drinking. A new regular on our shipping list! Thank you!

Thanks for including us in the trial - I would have thought more supermarkets would have stocked the 3 pack but I've also found UHT milk products in three different areas of our supermarket so others may have had it. The first two drinks that Mr5 had he was convinced that the flavour changed halfway down to caramel due to the new packaging. The price is not too bad - around $6 for the six pack - which I don't mind paying as I can keep them in the pantry and only bring them out as treats :)

Thanks for allowing me to try these. The straws are easy to open and put in the hole which is great. They are very yummy. I love the fact that there is no artificial flavours colours or sweeteners. It has vitamin D and has 34% of an adults daily calcium intake. Everyone in the family likes these so I will be buying them again. Would be even better if the packs came mixed. My son likes chocolate and my daughter strawberry, so having mixed packs would stop the arguments if I'm only buying one pack.

Thankyou very much for chooseing us for the review on CalciYum Milk. I received the 6 pack voucher and when I went to the Countdown store the chocolate flavour was the only one in stock so that was the one we got. My 4 year old found it really easy to take the straw off and put in the hole but my 2 year old needed help. I tried one myself and loved the taste it was really yummy but Mr 4 and Miss 2 were bouncing off the walls absolutely hypo! I think there is either too energy in one carton for little kids. My 13 year old was fine though and she really loved the taste as well. I probably wont be buying the packs again but will buy the 1 litre cartons which I can add more hamoginised milk to so that it isnt so strong for the kids. Thanks again the drinks, they were definitely yummy. :-)

Thanks for the chance for our girls to try these. It was impossible to find the 3 pack in the supermarkets. We eventually found the 6 packs but it took a few supermarkets to find those. The girls were very excited to try them and chose strawberry. All three girls (9,5 and 4) were able to open the straws without assistance and could put the straw into the hole. My eldest asked if she could take them to have before dance practice. IT would be really cool if the packets came in an assortment of flavors, like the yogurts sometimes do. Miss 5, when asked what she would like in it, said "real strawberries in it would be yum". They all agreed that they were delicious and would like them bought regularly if the price was reasonable. It's cool that they don't have to be kept in the fridge. I thought being 250mls (a whole cup) that it would be quite filling. However every last drop was drunk and they were still sucking the straw when it was all gone! : ) Thanks so much!

Thank you for letting our family review the CalciYum milk.We also had trouble finding the 3 pack but got some straight away when the 6 pack voucher arrived. Miss six said that we absolutely had to pick strawberry because it's pink! She loved the fact that there was a straw. After teaching her not to squeeze the box she found it was easy to hold in her small hands. Miss sixes comments were- It's delicious, I'm going to drink it all and we have to buy some every week! Hubby and I both liked that It wasn't too sweet and didn't give you that sickly feeling. We will defiantly buy this product in the future!

I had trouble finding flavoured UHT milk at our local New World - and so did the staff! We eventually found some with the chilled milk (apparently they didn't have room to display it with the other UHT milk). I grabbed a 3 pack of strawberry milk, but then wondered if I had the right thing as it was "Calci Strong". The staff assured me that it was right and honoured my voucher. Checking on the net, I see that Calci Strong is made by a competitor to CalciYum. So I still haven't tried the CalciYum yet (can't buy it locally). I think the product names are too similar for easy brand differentiation.

Although I wasn't chosen as a reviewer I'd like to say my children love Calciyum Milk. I've been buying them for their lunchboxes, they're cheap too! I bought a weeks worth (15) last week at New World for 89c each, great value!

We bought Strawberry here and it was enjoyed by the whole family. The kids loved the novelty of the box and straw. We were also able to sneak in some pamol and antibiotics into master 2s and the strawberry flavour hid the medicine taste. We will be buying this product again as it helps get milk into a family which struggles to drink plain milk as well as being reasonably priced. Thank you

Thanks for letting us trial the CalciYum product Kidspot. We received the three pack voucher which we had a little bit of trouble redeeming but managed to get singles so we managed to get one chocolate, one strawberry, and one banana. I really enjoyed the chocolate and banana and master 5's favourite was strawberry. I then received a few days later the 6 pack voucher THANK YOU!! which master 5 insisted we get the strawberry 6 pack and I brought myself the chocolate 6 pack. Master 5 isn't really tempted to swap with me so we will have to get two separate 6 packs from now on.

It was lovely to receive the voucher.I also had trouble finding a mixed three pack,so the supermarket gave me a six pack but it was only chocolate. The kids didn't really like the favour of the chocolate at all but they have had cameral and strawberry before and love those ones.

Thank you for the Calciyum vouchers, I bought a 6 pack of the strawberry flavour and my son loved it, my daughter on the other hand came back to the kitchen with an empty carton pulling a rather odd face, saying she did not like it very much. Hmmm there was not a drop left. She then asked for a biscuit, so I figured out what she was up to. I did ask her later and she said she liked it but would like to try the chocolate one as well. I will look out for a 3 pack chocolate flavour and let you know the verdict on that flavour.
skyela - 9:48 PM on Tue-5-Jun-2012 reply | message
We used the 6 pack, we could only get the chocolate from Pak n Save in Upper Hutt so got that. The girls both loved the flavor, the only thing I found is the drink is up really high that they spilled it over themselves easily if that makes sense. My husband tried one also and he said it wasn't too sugary tasting and enjoyed it himself. We will definitely be buying!

After a bit of gyp trying to find product in supermarkets (despite my local dairy selling them individually!), I managed to pick up the product at New World Porirua (I rang first to save a wasted journey!).<br><br>Kids think they are great - and I do too! I have one child who wakes up ravenous and another that can take or leave breakfast entirely. The latter is the one than is benefiting from CalciYum Milk, as she will never say no to one of these! Strawberry seems to be the agreed favourite.<br><br>I've found them very handy for stashing in lunchboxes chilled to help keep food cool and my husband is also quite partial to them as he rushes out to work in the morning. Will definitely be buying again.

I found it really hard to find a 3 pack too! Only flavour in the supermarket was chocolate and most of my kids prefer strawberry- oh well... My son polished most of the container off which indicates how much he enjoyed it. Has a nice natural flavour and not too sweet. Would probably get it for me- think they will do a jaffa flavour?

Was a bit of a mission trying to find any 'packs' of calciyum let alone a three pack so we bought a 6 pack of chocolate with our voucher and bought a 6 pack of strawberry, we loved the taste and the packaging made it easy to tell them apart from the primo and up n go. My daughter just about polished off all of the strawberry and my partner nearly with the chocolate but i managed to get a few comments out of them. my partner and i agree that the chocolate is better because it isn't a 'powdery' chocolate if that make sense and the strawberry is sweet and not to overpowering! I like how it has 50% more calcium and they offer a caramel flavour which i am yet to find and try but i endeavour to because i like the caramel calciyum yoghurt.

Thanks Kidspot for sending the 6 pack voucher - found those straight away in Countdown. Got chocolate and after a few hours chilling in the fridge the kids are now drinking them after dinner. I've had a try as well and I'm impressed. A lovely chocolate flavour (not too rich as some choc products can be) and not too sweet which is great. Neither of my children are big dairy consumers so a product like this fits the bill for our family. Will be buying other flavours to try as they are yummy!

Thank you for sending me a voucher. I was finally able to find some 3 packs in the supermarket this week so I used the voucher for one flavour and bought another pack in a different flavour. I did this as having 2 children, a 3 pack is not the most convienient way of purchasing. My kids were most excited to try this and they loved it. We tried banana and strawberry. As my kids are not big milk drinkers this was a great way to get some extra calcium into them. Will be buying these again as they are a great thing to keep in the cupboard.

So, we've finally tried 3 flavours: Chocolate, Caramel & Strawberry.
Chocolate was good. Very chocolatey (oh and I tasted all 3 of them as well). Julius said was better than Primo..
Caramel was so so. For me it tasted slightly bitter? The good thing is it wasn't too sweet.
Strawberry was the best. Very refreshing and once I tasted it (before giving it to Julius) I wanted more actually..hahah..
Julius was looking forward each day to try CalciYum. I'll definitely be getting more Strawberry now...Thanks!!

Miss 10 and Master 8 very happily took the strawberry flavoured ones to school in their lunchboxes. I love that because the are a UHT product that if they have gotten warm before they drunk them or if they had come back home (yeah right!) that they would still be fine for them to drink (yoghurt coming home drives me nuts) They both liked them and Miss 10 said she liked them because they weren't super sweet like when they get flavoured milk from the big 2l bottles. Master 8 has had issues with not getting enough vit D when younger so having that added sits well with me. The best thing was there was an extra one left over so the only fair thing to do was for me to drink it ;) I agree with miss 10 and like it not being over sweet or strong flavoured. I will buy these again and the kids are keen on trying the other flavours.

I went into countdown and got my 3 single boxes of this, they never had a 3 pkt and after much discussing about what to do, let me have the single pkts, I got 1 x strawberry, 1 x chocolate and 1 x banana. Well strawberry was def there favourite by far, we all wanted it even me. No one really liked the chocolate it was abit strong for us and the kids weren't to fussed on the banana either, but the flavour wasn't strong and I am sure anyone who luvs bananas would luv this drink. We will def be buying the strawberry flavour again, thankyou for the trail.

What I love about these milk boxes is that they are long-life milk - so they don't need to be chilled. They are small enough to fit in miss 5's lunch pack. And she loves the flavour. Its a real treat for her, while still being relatively good for her. Thanks again for inspiring me :)

Thanks for choosing us! We tried the strawberry milk. Miss four choose it. It was a fantastic afternoon treat for my schools apon arriving home from school. Would make a good addition to the lunch box too actually.
My three girls loved it. I had a taste too. yum!!! tastes just like the yogurts :)
It was great knowing my kids were getting an extra dose of calcium and enjoying a treat at the same time!
My bigger girls (aged 14 and 11) easily finished their milk, however it was too big for my littlie who is 4. was ok though, as it meant i got to try some.
I think i will buy it again, for a special treat maybe. It is quite expensive, was i think about $4.50 for the 3pk i think i would be more likely to buy it in a 2 litre bottle. does it come in a 2 litre bottle? will have to look next time!!

This turned out great as we took 3 different flavours(chocolate, strawberry and banana) The kids chose their favourites and then even mom and dad had a taste. The taste and flavours were great and the banana seemed to come out tops. Perfect amount and size for little hands and an extra bonus for the added calcium. I would however only give these to the kids as a treat as I found them to be quite sweet, overall a great product!

Kyuss loves milk and harasses us all the time for primo etc, but it's often expensive and gone in a matter of hours instead of it lasting a few days.

This would be a great trial for him and he can write his own review even! Please pick up to trial this product and thanks again for another great product to trial! xxx

My son loves his milkshakes, he has one every day for breakfast, he wants to keep his bones strong for his sports. With only just getting him back on mlik his favourite is CalciYum. I am tying anything to keep him drinking milk, I want him to have strong bones and enjoy this yummy drink. He would love to trial this, he's already looking at the flavours and making himself hungry!!

What I love about Calciyum flavoured milk is that is is both a treat, and its healthy. Full of calcium that their growing bodies need and its no effort to get them to drink it - they love it. I usually get the chocolate one every now and then for our three kids. I'd love to try another flavour for them, and this would give them one each. Please :-)!

Hey ya. WOW what a cool product to try and review. I and my son LOVE flavoured milk. But I am always a bit hesitant to purchase it giving the high sugar content. However, doesnt this product look exciting, with NO artifical colours, flavors or sweeteners. You have me sold on this product. I would feel great giving my son this drink, given the calcium content and nutritional content that it offers. My sons current favorite flavor has to be banana, but he likes all the flavored milk. I love the fact that the product does not need to be refrigerated, so is perfect for us busy mums on the run. Great to put in the snack boxes for playgroups, coffee group catchups or simply when on the run.
Would love to try this product. I will offer great critical reviews, and of course my son would LOVE to drink this product, and tell me what he thinks before I tell you :-) Please pick me!!!

OK so my son when we are doing the shopping ALWAYS points to it when we are in the milk section, i usually give in and get him one, he LOVES them they are so much more healthy then fizz and i don't mind giving him milk, and as much as he wants, so a treat of chocolate milk i don't mind. and i give him his milk as we are walking to the checkouts and he usually has the straw in and drunk half of it before we are served, and he is always a good boy and hands over the CalciYum drink (chocolate flavour) to be scanned befor getting it back, im so proud of him over that.

My eldest boy (2 1/4) really enjoys milk, he likes milo in the mornings with breakfast. He also has tried flavoured milk before on odd occasions and liked it. Calciyum Milk in these containers appear to be a great size for lunchboxes - we are now heading out to kindy so its great to get more ideas for the lunchbox!

My kids both enjoy milk and think it's a treat to get a drink out of an individuallly sized box. I'd say they'd probably like all the flavour choices too.

My kids love CalciYum dairy food - we get through a 12 pack a week. Neither are keen on milk, so I'm always on the look out for calcium alternatives. The 5yo would be beside herself with happiness if she found one of these in her lunch box! I would very much like to take part in this trial please :)

In our house it goes without saying the 12yr old will love flavoured milk- he's addicted to the stuff and now towering over me he powers through our milk supplies. He doesn't get a lot of flavoured milk but would love it as a treat in his lunchbox. I'm trying to get Miss 18mth to drink more milk so maybe a bit of flavoured milk will help with this task.
Dizzles - 11:45 AM on Thu-3-May-2012 reply | message
I had no idea kids needed 3 servings of calcium each day! How much easier it would be to get one of those servings in a form you know they will actually like! So we would like to try these to see if they like it, as I have 3 very willing children putting up their hands to trial it for you! The main draw card for me is that fact that it can go in their lunchbox & not have to be refridgerated, that's a really good idea!

It is a rule in our house that my boys have to drink their glass of milk at breakfast before they can go. I'm sure CalciYum milk would make the milk disappear faster and add a bit of fun into the daily ritual. Thanks.

My grandchildren are certainly active growing kids and these CalciYum flavoured milk would be lovely to have on the table for them to try after a day of sports. They drink plain milk regularly and with 50% more calcium to help build strong bones, plus Vitamin D is certainly another incentive to drink more. They would all like to try this CalciYum milk with a carton each. Think we'll try Caramel.

My daughter isn't allowed to drink juice or fizzy drinks as she has issues with her kidneys. Water and milk is it for her. We quite often buy the large 2 litre bottls of flavoured milk and have once very unsuccessfully attempted to send it it school in her drink bottle - a gluggy curdled mess is what we got - so these sound fantastic. I can already see the look of delight on her face when she opens her lunchbox to find something other than her usual bottle of water sitting in there.

Would love to do this trial, as my wee guy loves anything in a pack, and I'd much rather he was drinking flavoured milk than juice!! I'd love to convert him to loving these :)

I would use them as a treat for my Mr 3 as he is only allowed water & milk and I really like that you don't have to refrigerate them so you can put them in their lunch boxes. Very convenient!
CrazyMumma - 11:50 AM on Tue-1-May-2012 reply | message
This looks great! Great for lunchboxes. I can see you could freeze in summer, pop in lunchbox, and by lunch be ready, as well as keeping all the other food cool too.

my son would love to trial the flavored milk, he hasn't had any before but would love to give him a chance :)
jessnz90 - 11:47 AM on Tue-1-May-2012 reply | message
we are really strong on the kids when it comes to drinking milk and water over juice and fizz, so giving this a go, would keep my mind at ease and make the kids happy to try something new, colorful and yum!, while sticking to the healthier option. I read an article last week about how kiwi kids are not getting enough calcium in their diets so good on you kidspot for getting out there and helping us help our families. thank you.

I dont think my kids will like it, I KNOW my kids will LOVE this!! I have 3 kids so a 3 pack will be perfect, they absolutely love milk and with the added calcium I wouldn't mind giving it to them :)

My son doesn't like milk that much and surprisingly I haven't tried giving him flavoured milk so will be interesting to see if he likes it !

My children love milkshakes so this would be great. I like the fact they can take it in their lunchboxes too!!

My 2 and 3 year old don't get "treats" when it comes to drinks - such as fizzys and rarely any fruit juices too ect , mainly its just water for them, but i would love to be able to give them a treat and this seems perfect - As i know calcium/milk is important in their diet too.
Would love to trial this product for them.

So funny at supermarket yesterday and my daughter wanted to buy these - she is a huge milkshake drinker and this would really help us save some money from buying milk every other day
samala - 11:32 AM on Tue-1-May-2012 reply | message
My son would love these, he is always asking me to make him chocolate milk with our milo and banana milkshake with our bananas. It's hard to get him to eat his lunch so I would love to try these in his lunch box and see how he goes, it could give him that extra energy he needs to get through the day. Thankyou

Mr5 loves milk - of any kind - and I'm pretty sure he would give an honest review :)

My two little boys love milk, but we generally don't buy flavoured milk. I would love to see if they like it, as it is a perfect treat or a great drink on the go.

My 3 children only get plain milk at home, we haven't tried flavoured milks other then quik at odd occasions. We'd like to try it.

My children are not fans of plain milk and will only drink milo or ready flavoured milks. My 3 year old loves "pink milk" (strawberry) and she absolutely loves drinking out of tetra packs. It would be great to carry these when out and about or as a quick treat in the car. Great that it has no artificial colours, flavours or sweeteners! My kids would love to try this out for you!

my kids love flavoured milk , so we'd love to give the CalciYum Milk a go. It would be great to send in the lunch box as I struggle to get my son to eat much at school he reckons he's too busy, at least this would get some good energy into him.

Our girls would LOVE to try this for you! Sometimes when we're in the supermarket they like to have a cold milk drink as a treat. They also enjoy CalciYum dairy food as a treat too. They would be keen to try this! (Being a 3 pack I'd get one too! Calcium would be great for all of us!!)
ekubo - 8:57 PM on Mon-30-Apr-2012 reply | message
I never buy flavoured milk because the kids all like different flavours. The eldest loves caramel (real sweet tooth), the next always chooses strawberry and the youngest is chocolate all the way. I see all their preferences are covered so I bet they'd love to taste test. I'm pleased to see they manage that without artificial colours, flavours or sweeteners. This would probably be a handy treat to keep in the pantry.

My 3 kids (age 3, 8 and 10) love flavoured milk. This sounds like a great product, being able to keep it on the shelf and not worry about it going off in lunchboxes in summer. I particularly like the sound of caramel, which you don't get in a lot of other brands.

My children all love flavoured milk so they will love Calciyum milk its great that it has less sugar in it and having no artificial colours and flavours is good

My kids love flavoured milk. it is a treat for them. They would love the idea of having their own carton and drinking with a straw. As a mum I like the idea that it is lower in sugar and has no artificial colours or flavours.
