I went and bought the bathroom version last week, after giving it a surreptitious sniff. It's a much less strong scent and I've been using it happily all around the house. I tried the kitchen one again to clean the pantry shelves and, although the shelves came up beautifully, the smell just about knocked me flat every time I opened the doors for days afterwards.

I received 'Oxygen Splash' Multi Purpose Kitchen Cleaner. Love it. Great cleaning with the product, did a fabulous job. The best bit was the smell, or rather lack of it. Many such sprays these days are rather overpowering, this was not at all. Big thumbs up

We loved this product (we got the bathroom one), I found that it didn't have too strong a smell - which cleaners often do and it worked really well. I like the fact that it breaks down and doesn't leave any nasty chemicals on the bench. It was also good to find that it wasn't hard on my skin - I find lots of cleaners leave my hands red and sore - so i will definitely be buying this cleaner in the future.

Im super happy with this product!! Love the Multi purpose spray! We are moving house and it has been great using in every room in the house. It has a not to bad smell and isnt a too over the top chemical type of smell, is quite fresh, took me a few days to work out what the nice smell that the house had was. Great on all surfaces. Will be buying this again for sure. Thanks for the trial :)

I received the multi purpose spray a few days ago so have had a change to try it on quite a few things. First of all, it has a pleasant fragrance that is not too strong and doesn't irritate my lungs like some cleaning products do. I have tried it on my greasy cooktop where it cleaned easily without leaving streaks as well as kitchen benches, rubbish bins and cupboards and spot cleaning on the kitchen floor. Overall, I find it easy to use and effective on all the surfaces I have tried it on. Even better knowing it kills the nasty germs without leaving behind chemical residues! Thanks for the trial - will definitely buy again.
travelbugnz - 9:58 PM on Tue-2-Oct-2012 reply | message
ok so whilst the we got to appreciate the smell first because it had leaked on the packaging ,I was also surprised how frothy the bag was when I washed it out so had pretty high hopes... and ... it didn't fail.

With my mum arriving from the UK today for the birth of our second child it was time for a good spring bathroom clean.

The product was frothy which always seem to lift the grime better, it was unabrasive and not harsh on the skin... and it did a great job.

It left me with the confidence that my bathroom was not only clean but protected from germs and safe for my 2 year old and soon to arrive new addition to the family!

What I liked most about this product was the smell. Harsh cleaning products leave me with headaches but the Dettol Power and Pure has a pleasent smell. It works really well as a cleaner as well so I would highly recommend this product.

I usually use spray and wipe and really enjoy it - however since receiving the dettol multi-purpose spray I am really impressed. I LOVE the smell of this product and it actually does clean the surfaces that I used it on. The kitchen is my least favourite to clean and I often find myself having to cook then do the dishes and wipe the oven and benches myself. This product took a little bit of my grumpiness away! Smells great, leaves no streaks or marks and cleans the oven top with a single wipe. I was and am very impressed. Thanks Kidspot & Dettol - great product

Well wondered what the parcel was at my door and was pleasantly surprised to see the dettol bathroom spray. My kids were very excited too and a whole packet of chux wipes opened later...as they all wanted to help lol!) and the bath room was attacked! I was really impressed with the shine that came up on my bath and sinks....really easy to use and didn't leave any residue like some products have the tendency to so. Would definitely use this product again ! Thanks for picking us to give it a try!

I got the multi purpose spray, and it seems great. I am as excited about it as it is possible for me to get about a cleaning product! I am not a big cleaning fan and will do anything and everything else to avoid cleaning all together! But with the Mother in law coming tomorrow I have spent a good 30 mins doing a much needed clean. I like that it is multi purpose so you can just clean everything you see that needs cleaning without having to worry about changing products. It has a nice clean smell and it seems to work well. I would buy it again for sure. It's great.

THANK YOU SO MUCH for the chance to trial this product. I absolutely LOVE it now that I have used it!!!!. The main reason being that it doesn't have a horrid acrid "citrus" type smell like many cleaners do.
When I cleaned my bathroom with it, I was so impressed with the clean it gave on the various surfaces (taps, porcelain, glass) without streaking or smearing as well as the smell that I have decided to do away with my other standard household cleaners and stick with this one. DETTOL is such a trusted brand in my household and I always have some of their products in my cupboard because I know it WORKS. I was also happy to note I don't get a headache from it, nor does my skin react badly to it. Thank you DETTOL and Kidspot for the chance to use this awesome product.

What a neat surprise sitting on the doorstep!! Love the smell it leaves (fresh) and it gives a great shine to the taps, I have wiped around the bottom of the toilet bowl where the carpet comes up and at least I now know that it is 99.9% germ free, the only thing that I found negative about it was that the foam is quite splashy especially when spraying the toilet seat. Thanks once again for being able to trial your product.

Thankyou very much for the dettol bathroom sprayer I received, I used it straight away in my bath sink and toilet, it let out a foamy spray, then I left it for 10 mins and came back and wiped it away. My bathroom i now sparkling clean and smells fresh. I love the fact that it kills all the bugs, I now know my wee ones are safe from yucky germs in the bathroom. Thanks again, recommend to all :)

I recieved the bathroom spray bottle thank you !! I used it straight away and like the foamy texture that sprays out. It cleans really well and smells great. Some bathroom cleaners can be quite overpowering and I find I have to open the windows just to keep breathing. This product does not have that strong chemical smell at all - it's wonderful. I was very happy with the clean and will definitely purchase this product. Thanks again for giving me the opportunity to try it.

Well I was very privileged to have been able to review the Dettol Power & Pure Multi Purpose spray and I have found it to be an all round cleaner in one. I'v been busy spring cleaning the whole house with it. It has a lovely smell and it cleans so effortlessly. I'v used it one bench tops, tables, doors and door frames, walls, cupboards and even windows. I had run out of window cleaner and thought I would see how it went on glass and it was awesum! No streaks or anything and now the windows are even clean. Im not going to buy numerous cleaning products any more, just the Dettol Power & Pure Multi Purpose from now on. I thought it was amazing :-) Thankyou

I recieved my Dettol Power & Pure Multi Purpose Kitchen Spray last week. It gave the motivation to give the kitchen a much needed spring clean. I have trialled a lot of cleaners and one of my biggest bug bears I have with them is the strong smell. The Dettol Power & Pure had a lovely scent that I was actually happy to still smell later in the day.

I found that it glided well I the surfaces that I was using it and left behind a lovely clean shine.

I was very pleased with this product and am very keen to now try the bathroom cleaner.

I recieved my trial of dettol bathroom cleaner on friday and finally got round to doing some cleaning this arvo... To be honest i was a little bit gutted it didnt smell like the orginal dettol (i know it smells a little like hospitals but it also smells like "clean" to me) ~ i liked the smell of it ~ but after awhile it started to smell abit like to much toilet cleaner or spray :( I should mention here that i had the 'Fresh Mountain Spring' Bathroom Cleaner.

However on the postive side i totally loved the foaming action and the clean it gave, i was a little bit worried leaving it on the glass of our shower for a full 10mins but was def worth it! Generally i dont always follow instructions on packaging but these were very clear and direct so due to reviewing i followed exactly in order for a clear result (And i think i will continue to do from now on lol)

I also love the thought that it doesnt contain a chemical residue. Based on these facts alone i will definately be buying some more once through this lot ~ Maybe ill be trying the other scent just to see. It prob just comes down to personal prefence as a lot of others on here have loved the smell. Definatley a top product and thanks so much for letting me review!

I recieved the general purpose spray. I love the smell, a nice fresh fragrance without the dettol smell i thought it would have had. Worked well on the benchtops with ease. Very impressed, will definitely be buying this product and trying the rest of the range :)

I received the power & pure bathroom cleaner. I don't often tend to read the instructions of use on cleaners, usually just the surfaces they are suitable for but in the spirit of a thorough review I did and was surprised to read that I should leave it to work for 10 minutes. This wasn't really possible though as it sprayed a rather nice foam in a concentrated area regardless of the distance sprayed from. I really enjoyed the consistency and light fragrance, "fresh mountain spring". Being 5 months pregnant a light clean non chemical smell is even more important.
I am teaching my almost 2 year old about toileting in the lead up to toilet training so she is in our bathroom a lot, touching the toilet etc and I am really thrilled with the product in that sense with no chemical residue. I am converted and think I will need to try out the kitchen one next.

Received spray today while I was at work .I wondered why the bathroom was so fresh and sparkling .Hubby had been busy cleaning he used it in bathroom ,around tiolet and I think it did a good job .I liked the smell as I like the old detol. Washouse, light switches doors and handles got the treatment also.Hubby said it worked fine I used it to clean a mess in the car as it stated multi purpose spray and I think it worked well and did what it was supose to.I will be telling my elderly mum to get some as its perfect for her to use and so easy.

Thanks so much for this trial! We received the Bathroom spray. I must admit that I was quite looking forward to try this product, especially in the shower and on the shower glass. Sprayed out well and made a good amount of foam on the glass. I hate the thin liquids as they just run off. I left the shower glass for 10 minutes as required before wiping/washing off. Product did well to remove the soap scum. Left a great streak free shine in the bath and basin as well. I'm definitely one of those people that purchase products for their smell and this product smells awesome. Bonus to get a product that works and smells great. Think I might just be converted from the current product I use.

We received the Bathroom spray on Friday - can't believe how excited I was, I clearly need to get out more ;-) I couldn't help myself, I had to go and clean the bathroom then and there and I am SO happy with the results. My vanity was spotless, streakfree, shiny and smelt so fresh and clean. Same results with the toilet and bath and at the end of my cleaning mission I stood back and admired the finished product. My entire bathroom was sparkling and it was so easy to do, not much effort required as the marks just wiped straight off. Definitely sold here and will continue to purchase this and recommend to all my friends who also don't normally enjoy cleaning the bathroom. Thanks for putting me on to such a great product!

I got the package on friday containing Dettol power and pure bathroom spray. The problem I had it with that the nozzle dribbles the liquid and the liqiud stays there where it is sprayed so in that case a lot more liquid is used. The nozzle should spray like other claeners nozzle spray .
apart from that it does its job no scrubbing is required and the results are fresh and clean as this is a dettol product so you are always satisfied that your home is sanitised as you clean.thank you so much for letting me try the product
ZoeA - 6:01 PM on Sun-23-Sep-2012 reply | message
The Dettol power and pure bathroom spray arrived on Friday morning - stoked! Set me into action, handed bubs to Dad and started spraying it round the bathroom. I wondered at first if there was a setting I missed because it didn't spray in a spread fashion it just squirted in a blob and ran down so I had to spread it with the cloth beforehand. It cleans well, shower glass doors, tiles, sink and toilet came up clean and shiny and the smell is clean and fresh. Being a Dettol product it is nice to think it is a sanitised clean not just a load of unknown chemicals. However unfortunately the spray makes it awkward to use so I wouldn't purchase if this function wasn't changed.

Got the package on Friday morning, had no idea it was coming so it was a double surprise lol. The only problem I have with it is that its a foam so it doesn't spread far like a liquid does. That said, it really does do what it says its going to do. My shower and hand basin look and smell great. Thanks so much for letting me try this.

Received a package in the mail yesterday containing the bathroom cleaner. Have struck a bit of a problem though ... instead of spraying it just dribbles out which makes cleaning a bit hard :S I cleaned the bathroom sink with it as best as I could and I must say it does a good job! The smell is rather strong though, but it is a pleasant scent ... perhaps it would be better toned down? It took all of the marks and dirt off (we've been gardening a lot this week) and didn't leave any residue. Thank you for letting me take part in this trial.
ekubo - 3:49 PM on Sat-22-Sep-2012 reply | message
I love arriving home to find a package on my doorstep, Kidspot trials are so much fun!

I received the kitchen cleaner which I was quite pleased about. Ds2 has developed a mania for honey sandwiches and my kitchen is sticky from top to bottom. So today I set to and cleaned from top to bottom. Usually I use vinegar and baking soda in the kitchen as I don't like to introduce a lot of chemicals into the house. So I was pleased to read on the packaging that it doesn’t leave chemical residue. Unfortunately it doesn’t actually tell you anywhere on the packaging what’s in the product so you just have to take their word for it. There is an address for a website so I suppose you might be able to find the ingredients there. As ‘don’t drink this’ and poisoning information is fairly prominent I suspect there’s still some strong stuff in it.

It does a good clean anyway. Sticky honey fingerprints were removed easily (if temporarily, I just stuck to my tap again so ds must have made himself some afternoon tea), messy stove top from where ds1 cooked spag bol cleaned up easily, greasy residue on the rangehood still needed a lot of elbow grease tho. Cupboard doors and benchtop came up nicely.

But the fragrance is about as subtle as a punch in the nose! It’s very noticeable still, hours after using the product on a day when all the doors and windows were open. I don’t really like the smell either, it’s left me feeling slightly headachey.

So mixed review from me. It works well but I can’t stand the smell. I’ll probably pass it on to a friend to see what they think of it and go back to my baking soda and vinegar.<br>

Wow - I don't know how you'll choose, with so many willing offers to trial this one!! Least favourite is vacuuming because of what it does to my back! But with cleaning products, probably the bathroom because of the confined space and cleaning fumes! With two boys and a husband playing sports, I have to spend far too much time cleaning bathrooms!!! A cleaner that does a great job without leaving fumes and chemicals behind would be magic for me!

The job I hate most is cleaning the oven, I hate looking at it and don't like thinking that it is due to be done again.
I would love to be able to trial either of these new products, doesn't matter which one as either would be great to trial. My two males try not to make a mess but lets face it, when they try not to make a mess they make a huge one anyway. Trying a new cleaning product could make my life easier and you never know it just might make my two use it themselves?

It would definitely be cleaning the bathroom, particularly the bathtub. It isn't separate, so even if we always take showers and not baths, the bathtub gets stains that are just quite hard to remove without getting down on your knees and scrubbing very hard.

I HATE cleaning the toilet. By this I mean twice a week: the top of the toilet, the toilet seat, the surrounds of the toilet, the bottom of the toilet - the entire toilet itself, the surrounding toilet floor, all four walls and of course not to mention the toilet door handle. Hmph. I have 2 little boys who are toilet training and believe me they miss more than they get it in! Unbelievable. On top of my usual cleaning products I also douse the entire room and facilities with the Dettol spray which I just LOVE. Anything to help would be much appreciated :0)

Cleaning the bathroom and the toilet. As I use the old style cloth nappies I have to put the nappy on the side when she has had a pooh so I need always to keep on top of wiping the surface so a spray cleaner is perfect. And then there is the emptying the nightime disposibles... yes we get the flicks or the stick to the side of the toilet bowl so this isn't pleasant cleaning this either.. All in all bring on the day I have nappyless children which is a ling way off as number 2 is on its way. That said I will STILL hate the bathroom and toilet cleaning :(

I have to say my least favourite cleaning job is the bathroom all round. I hate it. My son's toilet training so that makes cleaning the toilet area an even worse job! It's also hard to find things I can use without feeling like I'm going to pass out from fumes and is safe for my son to be around as he likes to try to help me clean the bath. As much as I hate cleaning the bathroom it is also my fetish to not have a dirty bathroom. You can't get clean in something that's filthy!

Then there are the elements & don't forget the warmer drawer which seems to be used for everything but warming food. I would love to trial this Dettol Power & Pure. All three of us have had nasty tummy bugs recently, and suffer from hayfever and dustmite allergies. I would love to trial this and see if it cleans everything so well that we almost eliminate the constant runny noses and sneezing.

I have just finished and Hate cleaning my sons bedroom, he is 3 and a half so as soon as it is clean he sets about turning it back into a mess :(. I don't mind doing almost any of the household chores but that.

Hi there, I would say my least favourite household chore is cleaning the toilet! Doesn't matter if it's clean,it's still a loo and me putting my hand down it and wiping it gives me the chills!!!

I HATE CLEANING - all of it. It is the worst time of the day when I have to clean, but the bathroom is always the worst....

I would have to say cleaning the bathroom is my least favorite cleaning task because just as I have finished it seems I need to do it again!

It might seem a bit of a silly thing to hate but I can't stand wiping the bench! Mainly because I feel like I spend my whole life doing it. My kids eat at the bench and are at the 'put food everywhere' stage. This morning my boys banana had a slide up down, and all around, on the bench before I spotted that naughty nana. I swear i wipe it at least 5 times a day, if not more.

Cleaning the shower would be my least favourite job in the house. I find it awkward and time consuming. Cleaning in general is not my favourite thing, but has to be done as I can't stand to live in filth! :)

Cleaning the oven is my least fave!

Least favourite would be between the oven and the shower. Such small areas to work with that usually need the most elbow grease. Such a pain of a job haha

Would love to trial this product! Dettol has such a "clean" smell....... worst jobs would have to be the oven top and inside as well as the shower. Cant believe how quicker the soap scum accumulates in the shower!

The area i least like cleaning is the house lol, but the worst is the toilet - yucky

my least household cleaning task is the bathroom and stove top.the soap grime in the shower area is so hard to clean and specially with infants you dnt get enough time to spend it cleaning the bathroom.

I absolutely hate cleaning my kitchen blinds. Because it is in the kitchen the dust sticks to them chronically and I always have aching arms by the time I finish.

I hate the big jobs, like cleaning the oven, wiping the ceilings, cleaning the windows, the shower.....I dont mind vacuuming :) I think the big jobs are made worse because I put them off as long as possible!

I would love to review this product. I couldn't whittle it down to one least favourite house hold chore so my 2 least favourite are definately the shower - it's see through plastic and is impossible to get the soap scumb off without really scrubbing, followed closely by the oven - mostly the top because we have a very old second hand oven and it seems like the food etc just sticks on contact and is a mare to get off.
jdsmum - 12:01 PM on Mon-3-Sep-2012 reply | message
I hate seeing a dirty kitchen and bathroom and it's one of the things I dislike most when cleaning and always make sure its spotless! I'm yet to find a brand that's gentle but does the job and haven't had the pleasure of trying Dettol yet so I would love to review it and see if it's what I'm looking for !
Mamabear - 11:59 AM on Mon-3-Sep-2012 reply | message
Definitely cleaning the bathrooms! It's always an ordeal scrubbing the bathtub, basins and shower stall, getting all that soap scum and grime out of the grooves and dealing with the grime around the drain...ewww!!!
tessa771 - 11:59 AM on Mon-3-Sep-2012 reply | message
I haaate cleaning the bathroom, esp the shower. Its amazing how dirty it gets after such a short time, I find myself giving it a thorough clean at least twice a week. Maybe using this new dettol cleaner will make this job more bearable :)

I cant stand cleaning the oven and the bathroom, we rent the place we are in and it's a disgusting old bathroom but the rent is'nt too bad for the area we live in so I try to keep it as nice as I can but between the kids and my husband it's not fun or easy, would love to try these products, if it makes a horrible job easier then Im all for that! Thankyou.

I hate cleaning the toilet. I know I have to do it and I do, but I really dislike that task more than anything else. I'd rather clean the oven!
swirlykiwi - 11:50 AM on Mon-3-Sep-2012 reply | message
This would be perfect!!! My house needs the ultimate clean as I'm planning on moving house in the next month or two :) but in all honesty its a debate between the kitchen and the bathroom. A crapload of grease [particularly in the fan in the kitchen] or soap scum in the bath & shower. hmm...

My least favourite chore is dusting - such an unproductive task!
