It really is somewhat annoying when you are trying to do your shopping and someone parks their shopping trolley out into the middle of the isle... to have a conversation with someone else on the opposite side of the isle who has done the same thing...wohooo that leaves a big enuf gap for my children to get through and I have to push my way through... thanks for nothing...
What really irritates me is when you do the same thing but instead of having a conversation you're getting something off the blardy shelf.
Why, why do you have to turn the front of your trolleys into the middle of the isle?

If someone parks their trolley in the middle of the isle and goes off to get something in another isle or is just nowhere to be seen, I take their trolley and move it a few isles away to the side out of everyone's way and then go on with my shopping. It's fun working out who the guilty person by their confused look on their face as they try to find their trolley. You should try it ;)

LOL i might have to try this sometime! I just ram the trolleys out of the way, usualy while gettin a mixture of glares, and a few 'thank you' looks. What really gets me are the people concentrating so hard on whatever they r lookin at,  they take a few steps backwards, right into my trolley, and then look at me waiting for an apology! Come on people!

Hmm I park in the middle of the isle at times but for different reasons. My little ones have fingers that move like lightening and to save from broken items I put them in the middle grab what I need off the shelf beside us and continue on our way. Do get frustrated with those that do just stop and talk as we have to go right past these breakables almost scraping and what do little fingers do but reach out. I know part of the joys of parenting but please if you see me or someone like me with a toddler parked in the middle of the isle and breakables around don't push our young one into the breakables arm reach it is for your and their safety we do this. Yes teaching the don't touch but until Mr2 fully grasps this concept I will park in the middle but don't worry I'm never there long as we have limited i'm happy just to sit here time before they have enough.
Am I alone in this?

The isles are narrower here than in the UK and i can quite safely say that i encounter all of these things at least once during a shopping trip, sometimes i'm guilty of them, like stepping backwards into the path of other trolleys, oops
The biggest trouble i have is i'm long sighted and i have to stand back from the shelf to see what i'm looking for.
the two things that irritate me the most are the people who don't even look where they are going and drive their trolleys right over my feet or into me (or my child) and the people who yell "Excuse Me" just seconds after i have stopped to grab something, i mean hey well done for being Ahem polite but Gee give me a moment to get what i need.

I have to agree those who park their trolley or stop in the middle of the aisle to have a conversation and don't move when people come are soooo annoying...
Icekiwi you have a valid reason to park in the middle....most mums would do that but you would move if people come down the aisle. My husband is ruthless with people like this he either gets very vocal or pushes right through them...i always make sure i'm half way down or up the aisle from him lol...

Ohhh this is so hilarious, I am usually a very angry lady after the weekly shop due to this! It's even worse when the people are blocking the isle with their trolleys while having their convo AND blocking the food you are trying to get at, it's awkward having to interupt the convo to ask them if they could move a little to the right! Usually i move peoples trolleys right in front of them.
