My very naughty 2.5yr old wriggles his arms out of his car-seat shoulder harness!  Any ideas on how to keep him from doing that?  Tried telling off, tightening up really tight, new carseat with more room ......

There is a device called a houdini stop that basically clips across the car seat strap at the top of their chest thus stopping them from escaping.
Otherwise talk to your child if they will listen - miss now 5 did this for a while and we had a talk about why we wear a seat belt and that if her arms werent in it and mummy had an accident she might get hurt - that worked well for her - but probably not for all kids.

you couldn't have asked this question at a better time theboysmummy.
Kidspot have a trial for Houdini products as we speak! Here is the link! I think you will make a great trialist by the sounds! Good luck!

Our oldest used to do this no matter how tight the straps were, nothing seemed to work, growling, bribing etc... until we got pulled over at a check point and the Policeman saw he had slipped his arms out again. We quietly asked the Policeman to give him a firm but not too scary talking to and he did and it worked! He told our boy that "Mummy and Daddy" would get in heaps of trouble if another Policeman saw him out of his straps! After that all we had to do was remind him of what the Policeman said and it worked! lol
