Well No good news here sorry.  I had 8 Months of full on 24/7 Sickness I call it! with my First Born Noah.  Throwing up EVERY days numerous times and feeling seedy all the time.  With my One Year old James, 8 Months of 24/7 sickness again and occasionally Throwing up, constant seddyness.  Currently 14+ weeks preggo and yep constant sickness, threw up bile today, not throwing up most days but dry reaching alot, so looking like an on going thing again.
The good thing about it is that it is a reassurance (some what a pain in the butt too!!!) that all is fine with baby especially after having three miscarriages.
I tried everything too and felt down but just concentrated on the end goal and picturing holding my baby in my arms.  Counting down helped for me too, knowing the end was in sight!   Prob no help to you but your def not alone {{{hugs}}} Rachal Mc :-)

I had "morning" (ha!  What a joke that is!) sickness with all three of my pregnancies.  With my first 2 pregnancies it lasted until about 6 months.  My last one was pariculary bad with the sickness lasting until I gave birth (I was still vomting during labour!).  One thing I have noticed is that the more tired I was , the worse the nausea and vomiting was.  Also if I had a cold or nasal congestion it was really bad.  Things that helped were resting more (not easy I know!), green apple Chub-a-Chup lollypops, having something small to eat regulary (being hungry made it so much worse) and eating starchy things liked mashed potato.  Mentally you have to tell yourself that it will end and it's for a good cause!  Good Luck!

Wow - lots of people have been SICK thru pregnancy.  I didn't realise that when I was being sick!  Does it help? - probably not if you feel half as bad as I did - sorry!  I was sick from day 1 of being late for my period to minutes before the birth, of both of my boys - is it a boys thing?  I was told it was the estrogen - who knows?
I was on average sick about 20-30 times each day, which was fun when working with No 1, and even better with No2, when No1 was running around!  (Do I need to say that 2 is it for me??!!).  I was on prescribed anti-neausea tablets and lots of others.  The lining of my throat was so raw I was vommiting blood.  The one thing that helped me (and not my end of pregnancy weight) was stoggey food.  Couldn't explain it, but potato.  Maybe it was the heaviness, maybe it was the starch, whatever it was it meant it stayed down that little bit longer and somedays I even felt human.
At 26 weeks you are so over half way - good luck - and may the vommitting gods be with you between now and 40 weeks time :)

Thanks everyone for your suggestions and supportive comments. I'm surprised how many of us have suffered in the same way! The things we go through to have our kids!! I'm now 28 weeks, so officially in the third trimester and the nausea is still continuing :( Thankfully there's very little vomiting, but I still feel awful most of the time and am still struggling emotionally. People try to cheer me up by saying "only 12 weeks left" but that makes me feel worse - that's 3 more months of this!! I don't know how I'm going to cope. I'm trying to keep on keeping on (as if I have a choice?!?) but still feeling miserable...

Hi
I was like this with by bump too. In fact (and I am sorry to say) I was sick in delivery suite... (they gave me an injection which stopped that) It did ease, but like you I was on meds which eased but did not clear it.. and I tried EVERYTHING and i do mean EVERYTHING!! It was exhuasting and yes a little depressing... but the thing that kept me goign was I was assured my bub was fine and I would be too...

My best help was staying at my mums, and not havign to think about food... she would make sure there was food, and I could eat it or not, but at home I found I was in a bad routine... I would be sick, eat, be sick have to think about the next meal and feel sick.. and it got hard to be smart about food... which did not help. Can your friends/family help by delivery food so that you have one less thing to think about??

It is hard, but you will be through it soon! Good luck.

I feel for you, I had morning sickness right to the end of my pregnancy and nothing really worked to alliviate it, so I just went with it, I ate what i liked with the attitude that if im going to bring it up anyway im going to enjoy it going down. Hope things get better for you.

I am OVERJOYED to report that I am now 38 weeks pregnant, and have been nausea-free since 31 weeks! I don't know what changed or why, but I am very very thankful that it did! These last few weeks I have actually been able to enjoy my pregnancy (although the sickness lifted just in time for all those aches and pains to really kick in :P) and now I actually feel excited about this baby arriving! Thanks to everyone who replied, for your moral support and suggestions. Suffice to say however that I seriously doubt I will ever get pregnant again - not on purpose anyway! :)

So glad to read that you experienced part of your pregnancy sick free!! My first pregnancy was a walk in the park where as my second sick the whole way through into the third trimester. Hospitalized and all, it is lways worth it in the end and I am glad you pulled through. I just kept thinking to myself ahhh well with how sick I have been you better be smaller than your sister was bubby hahah. Alas she was just as big even after me losing so much weight and not being able to eat. Crazy how different pregnancies can be
