i just made my own soap for christmas gifts. it needs about 6 weeks to set(to get to the hardened state where it wont melt away so easy) so if you have a extra hour or two with NO kids around..check out these sites! safty gear is recomended (gloves and little mask) this is such a lovely thing to do.. its best done with a friend or a nice glass of wine!!! its such a invigorating feeling knowing in 6 weeks ill have something everyone will use and enjoy, that i enjoyed making! plus you feel like a chemist!
once you get the feel for it, you can make it your own by changing oils, adding aromatherapy, dyes and perfumes.
