New parents are deprived of it. Stressed people often have trouble getting it. Teenagers seem to need more of it than anyone. Many of us, for one reason or another, do not get enough sleep.

Lack of sleep is a particular issue for women. The natural hormonal fluctuations of their monthly cycle frequently lead to sleep difficulties. As women enter perimenopause, usually about age 45, hot flushes and night sweats mean many simply cannot get to sleep.

Men and women aged over 18 years with sleep issues. We are looking for 10 reviewers.

I LOVE THESE!! I would highly recommend these to peoples whose minds just keep going and can't switch off to go to sleep. I am going to sleep every night quickly, with out worrying about the next day, also over the four weeks I am also sleeping through the night without waking feeling like I have forgotten something. They have made a huge difference in my everyday life with more energy during the day and sleeping better at night. LOVE LOVE LOVE these.

Some feedback from Pharma Health NZ Ltd:

It is important to understand that Sleep by Remifemin is not a drug to make you sleep. It is a natural plant-based product that calms the mind thus allowing normal and healthy sleep to take place. Most use it when needed (very few use it every night) and some users find that knowing they have Sleep available then they are no longer anxious about sleeping. It is OK to take 2 tablets three times a day and many users in Europe use it during the day to help stay calm when under stress.

The sugar coating is minimal and satisfies the EEC regulatory requirements.

After using these tablets now for the last few weeks I have come to the conclusion that they do work to a certain degree. I find the nights I have them I do appear to sleep better, and even though sometimes I still wake during the night, I seem to manage to get back to sleep easier. I put this down to the tablets causing my mind and body to be more relaxed and calm. I would continue to use them during times of stress in particular. Thank you for the opportunity to trial these.

So 4 weeks and 30 tablets has been and gone. I think I can safely say that Sleep by Remifemin works for me. I had good results during the holidays and the same good results while back at work. I didn't seem to get more sleep just BETTER sleep. My sleep issues are a combination of hormonal and stress related. When I would wake in the middle of the night, early morning, or 1 hour before my alarm, I was able to get easily back to sleep. But if I had to get up early, I was always wide awake and never spent the day tired. The only side effect I noticed was that I got a bit grumpy when I saw that I had an empty packet. Sleep worked for so well for me that I have gone and priced up some more from my local health food shop.

Ok - I have now been using it for a couple of weeks. I am not really sure whether it has made a huge diffence....I am still waking up in the wee hours and not getting back to sleep. I don't feel as exhausted during the day however - perhaps that is a positive side effect!? As with Leelee1994 I have noticed I am not remembering my dreams as often!! I will keep going with it for now and see if it has a cumulative effect perhaps! :) Thanks for the op to try! :)

At the one week mark, I am not sure if 'Sleep' is working. I have been having pretty decent sleep but I am not sure whether it has been because it is the holidays, the recently acquired magnetic underlay or 'Sleep'. After two weeks, I have noticed that on the nights that I take the 'Sleep' tablets, that I get back to sleep faster when I wake sometime between 2 and 4am but not necessarily sleep longer. I have also found that my dreams have not been as vivid nor as memorable as the nights without 'Sleep'.I am really not looking forward to rationing out my last lot of tablets as I am back at work and I would take them everyday if it could mean a decent night's sleep to prepare for the potentially nice, students I teach.

I have been using this product now for just on two weeks, taking the tablets every second night. I am going to sleep easier and staying asleep all night. I am still lacking energy during the day but I think that as I sleep better this may still improve. Also if for some reason I have to wake at night because my 18mth has decided that something isn't right I am still able to wake easily and can have the energy to look after them for a couple of hours before getting back to bed, drifting off again quickly and sleeping soundly until the morning.

My two weeks are now up. I haven't been taking them every night (I forget or remember when I am already in bed). I find them easy to swallow due to their smallness and coating, which is a big plus for me as I find it difficult to swallow a lot of tablets. I do think they have helped on some nights as I have actually been sleeping through my usual 3.00am waking up time, it now seems to be around 4.30am I awaken when I have had the tablets and I am managing to go back to sleep within 1/2 hour. A definite improvement on lying awake watching the clock tick by! On a couple of occasions though, when I have had the tablets I have noticed no difference in my sleep patterns. So a bit of a mixed result. I will post again in another two weeks.

It has now been two weeks. I haven't been taking them every night (usually because I forget) but on the nights I do I don't notice a difference. I wasn't expecting anything amazing as my sleep problems are none of the ones that these tablets were supposed to help. Thank you for Kidspot and Garden of Eden for a chance to try these. Hopefully others will have better results.

I have recd my sample pack and will start using it tonight - really hopeful that it helps with the early morning wake up issue I have since I had kids! I wake up at about 3am and just can't get back to sleep....fingers crossed. I will post again when I have given it a go :)

I received my sample pack and have trialled it now for 3 nights. It has been helpful in helping me to fall asleep faster on 2 out of the 3 nights I used it. One big drawback for me is that the tablets are sugar-coated, as I am on a strictly sugar-free diet. I took them anyway because of the trial, but I wouldn't buy this product because of the sugar-coating, although I'm sure this would be a pro rather than a con for people who have trouble swallowing tablets and aren't sugar free like me :-)

I am about to start using this product. I struggle to get to sleep, and wake 2-3 times a night in which it takes forever to get back to sleep if I do at all. I have a little bit of a hectic life with an 18 month old, working part time, doing house renovations, people staying with us and living in Christchurch where the earthquakes are always really playing on my mind. I haven't slept well for coming up two years and due to struggling at night I resorted to taking Nana naps when I can, this has caused more problems than it solved so I have currently been struggling through the days hoping that I will sleep better at night which hasn't worked either. I am really looking forward to starting this product in hope that I sleep better at night and have more energy during the day. Will keep you posted on the outcome over the next few weeks.

i got this a wewe while ago but have been trying them over the holidays - omg i get good sleep which i have not had in a LONG time, its nice sleeping well and waking up better, i am also not finding the need to sleep during the day

I received my pack almost 2 weeks ago. I am usually a bit physically tired by mostly brain tired after work and quite often have a 'Nana Nap', miss dinner and my son's bedtime, wake up around 8-9pm and not be able to get back to sleep until midnight. I then wake up about 3am and not be able to get back to sleep for sometimes up to 2 hours. I think it is the disruptive sleep that is causing the most harm and I am looking forward to having a solid 6 hours straight sleep.

I have received my Sleep and will start using it tonight. Currently I fall asleep okay, but I am a light sleeper so awaken easily and usually always wake around 3.00am. I then have great difficulty getting back to sleep, and find myself watching each minute pass slowly on the clock. Consequently I am usually tired with little energy the following day. I look forward to seeing if this product will help me have a more restful nights sleep.

I have been using Sleep for 3 nights now. What a time to start using it with the end of daylight savings too. The tablets are very easy to swallow as they have a smooth sugar coating on them. There is no nasty taste or smell that you often get with natural medications. The instructions are to take 2 tablets 30-60 minutes before bed. I am having to make an effort to remember this. I don't normally have a problem going to sleep at night. My problem is more to do with resettling if my sleep has been interrupted (thanks usually to the kids or a noctural hubby). I'm eager to see if this will help me as it is too early to tell yet. I will write more when I have taken the whole packet (15 days worth).

I usually have little trouble falling asleep, but often wake in the early hours and then drift in and out of conciousness usually also have lengthy vivid and often disturbing dreams. Nights like these leave me feeling ragged and I often operate on auto-pilot the next day, and unfortunately the kids do suffer as I sometimes just do what I have to for them rather than all the things I would love to. Would love to sleep better!

What great timing! I am in my late 40's and for a while have had real trouble falling asleep and when I do finally get to sleep wake up during the night and can't get back to sleep. As a result I am really feeling sleep deprived and really feeling it especialy in the afternoon. I suspect it is hormone related due to my age so I would love to try something like this to see if it would be the product for me. I would be thrilled to trial this and give feedback on any difference it makes!

Well with a master 2 year old currently deciding to wake at 4am most morning and the stress of running a business and of course doing the usual duties of a mother of 2 boys and a loving (sometimes) wife. yip my brain never seems to get enough downtime to sleep properly
