Topic : Abortion Numbers Drop in 2011
SarahK - `10` `2012-06-19 22:19:16`

I have mixed feelings about abortion. Im pro life but do feel there are certain circumstances where one might be required.

The title of this article grabbed my attention this arvo, seemingly pleased with the word 'decreased'. However I was absolutely shocked however at the number that were still performed!!!! 15,863 induced abortions were performed in New Zealand in 2011, 767 fewer than in 2010.

To me, that just seems SOOOO many!!!

I'm pro life, too. Despite the shocking number still performed, I am quite glad it has decreased and I'll personally keep praying it continues to decrease.

That does sound like a lot. I was told by my Dr when I was pregnant at 17 that I wouldn't believe who or how many girls had abortions and that I should probably go down that road too, I wouldn't even consider it!!!

I still here of girls using it almost like birth control though!!!

I also heard this morning someone talking about infertility and how, if  teen mums didn't get so much financial support from the goverment, there would be more babies to adopt as they wouldn't be able to keep them. But thats just going back to days of old and the abortion rates would just go up and up I suspect.

Hmmm... could it be that finally people are starting to comprehend that prevention as in prior to conception is better than the so called cure of an abortion?

It's a lot easier to use a condom than it is to go through the process of having an abortion!
