It's official, and the internet has gone crazy with the news. Johnny Depp and Vanessa Paradis have split.
Unlike the swirling rumours we've heard for the last few months, this time Depp's publicist released a statement: “Johnny Depp and Vanessa Paradis have amicably separated. Please respect their privacy and, more importantly, the privacy of their children.”
Depp and Paradis were together for 14 years (which is like 50 in celeb years), and have two children, Lily-Rose (13) and Jack (10). The good news is the break up is reported to be amicable.
Yes, ladies - it's true. Mr Depp is a single man again.
They're the second mega-couple to break up this year, after Seal and Heidi Klum separated in January.
Johnny Depp has been voted 'Sexiest Man Alive' (let's face it, he's pretty smoking hot), so I'm sure there will be a lot of happy fans out there today. But I'm not. I really liked them as a couple. I liked that they were non-traditional (they never felt they needed to get married) and thought they really complimented each other.
What do you think? Yay or nae to a single Johnny Depp? And after 14 years should they have tried to stick it out for a little longer?
