Topic : What is it that you just cannot part with...
MumBum - `10` `2012-08-14 13:09:33`
I have (as some of you will have read in my blog) done a huge clean up/out of stuff I no longer need or want. However, I just couldn't bear to part with some items of clothing even though I haven't worn them in a while... I have a long coat which is furry and the print of a snow leopard, and it has been with me since my early 20s when I purchased it. I am a bit too old now to wear it, but I just couldn't bring myself to part with it and maybe I never will. What do you have in your closet which you just can't bear to part with even though logically it makes no sense to hang on to it?Please share and make me feel better about my emotional unreasonable attachment to my spotty coat! :-)

All my t.shirts I have collected from concerts over the years! I have about 20... Jack Johnson shirts, 6 years of Big Day Out shirts, Black Eyed Peas, G Love and Special Sauce, Ben Harper, Foo Fighters, Lady Gaga, ACDC, Steve-O and Party Boy(haha), god some I cant even remember... but I just cant give them up! Each one represents an awesome night with great music!

an emerald green velvet ball gown with plunging front and back and sweeping train that I wore to a ball in London and then carted all around the world with me to bring home. Naturally I haven't had anywhere to wear it to here.

I have these amazing silver holograms platform stilettos, and some skin tight (then, so I can't get them past my knees now) red shiny pants with a lace mesh overlay with flames at the bottom coming up to the knees. Both from my clubbing daysActually I think I also have my pvc trousers too lol

Oh and i've finally parted with my baby stuff. I think finally I'm convinced 6 is enough!!!...

Although it hasn't gone far ;)

in as much as i would like to keep baby clothes and outgrown clothes of my kids i just can't keep them because we don't have space at home.  my mum keeps a lot of our clothes way, way back and i guess, she influenced me to give away old clothes (reversely) so i have space for new ones.  i guess, one item it takes me years to part with is my  old jeans. it still fits so why not keep it but the colour is really faded and the stitches are running loose.

A few years ago I finally 'parted via trademe with a purple blazer I had worn in my late teens early twentys. Boy did I love that jacket and wore it whenever going out. The problem was its probably now back in trend now :P!

I get attached to things all the time, whether it be clothes, shoes, cars etc... but then i'm a bit of a hoarder!

I try (as in really try) not to get too attached to material things, but I do once in a while. Unless I get to buy a new one, I wouldn't let go of my Macbook, which I paid on installment for 6 months from my salary. I don't think I can ever part with my mum and grandmother's jewellery, which I can never replace.
